Kindest gnomes - crider 1
You Gnome Me So Well Tag Card
Betsy Crider created this adorable friend card with the retiring Kindest Gnomes stamp set. 
 
Background Basics—Betsy started by adhering a 4" x 2" piece of the retiring Storybook Gnomes Designer Series Paper to the bottom of a Crumb Cake card base. Then, she embossed a 4" x 3" piece of Balmy Blue cardstock with the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder and added that to the top of the card front. The 4" x 1/2" strip of Poppy Parade cardstock was embossed with the Stripes & Splatters Embossing Folder and adhered across the middle.

Kind Gnome—Betsy stamped the Kindest Gnome sentiment in Crumb Cake ink at the top of a 1-3/4" x 3" piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. She added a gnome image from the stamp set at the bottom in the same ink, then colored it with Stampin' Blends Markers in Ivory, Balmy Blue and Poppy Parade. I love how she added a little shadow under the gnome in more Balmy Blue Light. She adhered the layer onto a large Crumb Cake Tailor Made Tags die-cut and popped it up onto the card front with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—Betsy added a Crumb Cake baker's twine bow, from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack, to the top of the tag with a Glue Dot. She finished with some of the soon-to-retire Fine Sparkle Adhesive-Backed Gems (they are on SALE for only $3—Wow!), floating around the tag.

Storybook Gnomes Winter Wishes Card
Dawn Bourgette created this sweet winter gnome scene for her swap card. I love that the Gnomes Dies will die-cut images from several patterns of the Storybook Gnomes DSP. Too Cool!


Background Basics—Dawn started this stepped up card by die-cutting a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Basic White cardstock with on of the Layering Diorama Dies, then embossed the piece with the snowflake pattern of the Wintry Embossing Folders. These mini folders are 3" wide, so Dawn ran the piece through twice to get full coverage over the piece. Next, she mounted a 4-1/4" x 3-1/4" piece of the snowflake Storybook Gnome DSP to the Thick Basic White card front and popped up the die-cut and embossed window piece over the top. It's my favorite look—recessed window!

Kind Gnome—Dawn used the Gnomes Dies to cut out the gnome and large mushroom house from the Storybook Gnomes DSP and popped them up, as well. So quick and easy! As I mentioned above, the Kind Gnomes stamp set and Storybook DSP are retiring, but the Gnomes Dies will be able to be used with a new Friendly Gnome stamp set, coming out in January!
 
Sweet Sentiment—Like the first card, Dawn die-cut a Tailor Made Tags label, this time the small size out of Balmy Blue cardstock. She stamped the Kind Gnome sentiment in Pacific Point ink on the label and popped it up, too.
 
Finishing Touches—She finished up by tying some of the Balmy Blue & White Double-Stitched Ribbon, which is not retiring, and attaching it with a Glue Dot. She also added a few Fine Sparkle Adhesive-Backed Gems around the background, like the first card.
