Cathy Miller created this fun birthday card featuring the cool images in the soon-to-retire Circle Celebration stamp set. I could see CASEing this in all kinds of fun color combinations!
Background Basics—Cathy stamped the small dotted Circle Celebration image all over the edges of a So Saffron card base in So Saffron ink. Next, she layered a 3-1/8" x 4-7/8" piece of Seaside Spray that is embossed with the retiring Subtle Embossing Folder onto a 3-3/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Night of Navy. The layers are mounted onto the card front a little askew.
Stamped Background—Cathy stamped all kinds of fun Circle Celebration images onto a 3-1/4" x 5" piece of Basic White. She started with the large circles in So Saffron, then stamped the leaves images over the top of them with Night of Navy ink. Next, she added Seaside Spray medium-size circle-burst images, and she finished up with small Night of Navy flower images to fill in the blank spots.
Sweet Sentiment—She stamped a soon-to-retire Happy Thoughts sentiment in Night of Navy onto a 2-1/2" x 1" piece of Basic White. She fishtail cut one end, layered it onto a 2-3/4" x 1" piece of Night of Navy cardstock, and fishtail cut that layer, too. It's popped up with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—Cathy added a Denim Ribbon bow to the sentiment with a Glue Dot. She also added Rhinestone Jewels to a couple of the circle-burst background images. How fun!
Circle Celebration Miss You Card
Natalie Travis sent me this swap card, also featuring the Circle Celebrations stamp set. I love that she used the images for both the background and the focal point.
Background Basics—This card base is a little unique, with a 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" Bermuda Bay card base foundation and a 10-1/2" x 4" piece of Basic White that's scored at 5-1/4" and mounted on the foundation. Natalie stamped the 5" x 3-3/4" Pool Party layer with Circle Celebration lined circles in Bermuda Bay ink and smaller circle-burst images in Pool Party ink. The dotted border images comes from the retiring Borders To Backgrounds stamp set, and it's stamped in Bermuda Bay. Natalie tied some Pool Party Sheer Ribbon around the stamped layer before mounting it onto the card front.
Sweet Sentiment—Natalie stamped the large Circle Celebration image in Pool Party onto Basic White cardstock, then punched it out with the retiring 2-1/4" Circle Punch. It's stamped with a retiring Wonderful As You sentiment in Bermuda Bay ink, then popped up with Dimensionals. Like the previous card, she added some Rhinestone Jewels in the centers of the circle-burst images. Cool!
