Rita’s Two Cool Hello Love Cards

CASEd from Kay Kalthoff at Stamping To Share & Linda Madison's swap card.

This sweet card just makes me smile!  Rita Berning created this card for our Team Swap last last month with the Hostess stamp set called Hello Love.  

Background Basics—The front of her Whisper White card is embossed with the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder for a subtle, yet whimsical backdrop.

     

Focal Point—The cute little birdie is stamped in Memento Ink, then the image is colored in with the Coastal Cabana Blendabilities Marker.  A strip of matching Retro Fresh Washi Tape adds a colorful accent.

 

The Whisper White layer measures 3" x 3-1/4" and it's mounted on a 3-1/4" x 3-1/2" Coastal Cabana mat.  She also added a banner at the bottom of that layer from a strip of Crushed Curry Chevron Ribbon.

 

 

Details, Details—It really is all in the details! If you look closely, you can see that Ritat intentionally left a little circle of white around the eye to highlight it.  The beak and tail are colored with Daffodil Delight Blendabilities.

 

 

 

The sun is stamped in Crushed Curry, then she gave it some extra shine with two Rhinestone Jewels colored with the Daffodil Delight Blendabilties Marker.

 

The Hello Love set has a part-two "it's your birthday" sentiment that Rita stamped on the inside.

  

   

 

Two Cool—You know I love it when there is another version of the same card!  Rita tried the same elements on a horizontal card embossed with the Arrows Folder.  This time she used the Crushed Curry Baker's Twine for an accent, and gave the birdie a word bubble, cut with the Word Bubbles Framelits!  Adorable!
