Rooted In Nature You Are Wonderful Cards

This a large bundle—16 fantastic images with 12 coordinating dies! The lovely trees, leaves and sentiments will be the foundation for all kinds of cards, from thinking of you to thank you, birthday to sympathy, even Christmas cards…the elements combine to create an outdoorsy, natural look. They'll be fun to use for a variety of techniques, too! This is a must-have for your new catalog Wish List!
Background Basics—Nature's Poem Designer Series Paper pack has gorgeous leafy patterns that make excellent backgrounds for the Rooted In Nature elements. I adhered a 1-1/4" x 5-1/4" strip of the Grapefruit Grove linen pattern and a 2-3/4" x 5-1/4" leaves pattern to a Blackberry Bliss card base. Can I just say that this color combination is AMAZING! Love it!
Wonderful Wood—The base of this collage focal point starts by stamping the dissected tree trunk image in Soft Suede ink onto Whisper White cardstock, then hand-cutting it and adhering it with SNAIL to the card front.
Leaf Loveliness—I used the Nature's Roots Framelits to die-cut two sizes of Blackberry Bliss leaves. Check out the lovely texture on the leaves! The framelits include embossing dies that create the beautiful leaf veins. I ran the two die-cut leaves through the Big Shot again, covered with the coordinated embossing dies. It's a little extra work to run them through a second time…but SO worth it! I attached the leaves with Mini Glue Dots.
Finishing Touches—I stamped the Rooted In Nature sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink onto a 3-1/2" x 1-1/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock. I left enough room to stamp a small leaf in "stamped-off" Grapefruit Grove ink. The banner was fishtail cut on one end with Paper Snips then popped up with Dimensionals. I adorned the sentiment with a Nature's Twine Crumb Cake bow attached with a Glue Dot. The Nature's Twine is a four-pack, also including Blackberry Bliss, Mint Macaron and Grapefruit Grove colors.
Two Cool—I used a similar layout with some different elements to achieve a more masculine look.
Background Basics—I tried two different patterns of Nature's Poem DSP: a Soft Suede wood grain pattern and a Tranquil Tide leaf pattern. They are mounted onto a Tranquil Tide card base. I wrapped some of the Mint Macaron Nature's Twine around the card front, unraveling the ends.
Focal Point—This time, the tree trunk is stamped in Sahara Sand, the sentiment in Tranquil Tide and the leaf in Mint Macaron stamped-off once. The die-cut leaves are in Tranquil Tide. I can see this as a Father's Day card or a masculine birthday or thank you card. Perfect!
