Rooted In Nature Simple & Stepped Up Swap Cards
Great minds design alike! I received these swaps a few weeks ago and two of the cards in the pack looked so similar in layout! One is a clean and simple design and the other features more stamping and layered accents. Let's take a closer look!
Swap created by Natalie Travis.
Clean & Simple—Natalie's card begins with a 4" x 3" piece of the Nature's Poem Designer Series Paper along the bottom of a Cajun Craze card base.
Twine Tassel Accent—I love the cool twine accent that Natalie created. She wrapped some Mint Macaron twine from the Nature's Twine 4-pack around a 4" x 1/2" strip of Mint Macaron cardstock, then she un-twisted the twine to make it look more like a tassel. Too cool! I would use some Tear & Tape Adhesive to secure that element to the card front.
Sweet Sentiment—Natalie stamped the tree trunk image in Mint Macaron onto a 3" Stitched Shapes circle, then stamped the sentiment over the top with Cajun Craze. It's popped up onto the card front with Dimensionals.
Swap created by Lynn Streifert.
Steppin' It Up!—Lynn's card begins with a Mint Macaron card base that she stamped with the Rooted in Nature leaves in Mint Macaron ink for a subtle background. She also added the same 4" x 3" piece of Nature's Poem DSP and a 4" x 1/2" strip across the middle, this time in another pattern of DSP.
Lovely Layers—Lynn added some lovely layers for texture and interest on her card. She started with a couple of Petal Pink die-cuts: one is cut from Nature's Roots Framelits and one from the Petals & More Thinlits. They are adhered with Multipurpose Glue. Next she die-cut the Nature's Roots leaves from Copper Foil on the first pass through the Big Shot, then she embossed the leaves with the embosslit from the same Framelits set. Like Natalie, she also used Mint Macaron twine and untwisted the twine before looping it around and securing it to the card front with some Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Bundle It & SAVE—Purchase the Rooted In Nature and Nature's Roots Framelits together in a bundle to save 10%!
Sweet Sentiment—Lynn stamped the Rooted in Nature branch image in Petal Pink ink around the edges of the same size of Stitched Shapes circle as the first card. She stamped the sentiment in Mint Macaron over the top and popped up the circle with Dimensionals.
