Oooh, I love this cool fun-fold featuring DSP for the main card base! Marcia Gay created this awesome card with the Day At The Farm Designer Series Paper that you can earn for FREE until the end of today with a $50 order.
Background Basics—Monica's card begins with a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Crumb Cake cardstock, layered onto a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock. This creates the foundation base for the DSP card. She scored a 3-3/4" x 12" piece of Day At The Farm DSP at the 1", 4-1/4" and 9-1/4" marks. The 1" section is folded back and the other two are folded toward the inside of the card. The DSP is mounted onto the card base with SEAL Adhesive. She also stamped a 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" piece of Basic White with an image from the On The Farm stamp set in matching Crumb Cake ink, then mounted it on the inside for a writing space.
Front of the Card—Marcia tied that 1" flap with some Linen Thread to secure it. I love how it creates a lovely contrasting element on the card front.
Focal Point—Marcia stamped the same farmland image from the On The Farm stamp set in Crumb Cake ink onto the bottom of a Basic White Stylish Shapes circle die-cut. She added a sentiment in Memento Black ink, then popped it up onto a Crumb Cake Layering Circles scalloped circle die-cut. It's mounted onto the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. She finished by adding a Cherry Cobbler windmill die-cut onto the circle with more Liquid Glue. Absolutely darling! And, so perfect for my area here in Fort Wayne, Indiana! Love it, Marcia!
One More Adorable Owls Birthday Card
Melissa Faust created this super-cute Adorable Owls card and I couldn't end Sale-a-Bration without sharing it with you! I LOVE the purples!
Background Basics—Melissa's card begins with a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Gorgeous Grape cardstock mounted onto a Gorgeous Grape card base. Next, she adhered a 5-1/4" x 2-1/2" onto a 5-1/4" x 2-5/8" piece of Basic White, then mounted across the card front.
Adorable Owl—Melissa stamped the Adorable Owls image in Memento Black onto a large Basic White Stylish Shapes square die-cut. She colored it with Stampin' Blends Markers: Fresh Freesia for the hat, Petal Pink for the inner feathers, Calypso Coral for the outer feathers, Pool Party for the eyes and Daffodil Delight for the beak and feet. She added a White Frayed Ribbon behind the square, then popped it up onto the card.
Sweet Sentiment—She stamped the Adorable Owls sentiment in Memento Black onto a Fresh Freesia Stylish Shapes banner, then popped that up with Dimensionals. She finished with a could of White Milky White Dots, colored with the Dark Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blends Marker. Too Cool!.
