Spotlight on Nature Dotted Circle Card
How fun are the Spotlight on Nature Dies combined with the cool Dotted Circle 3D Embossing folder? VERY fun! I CASEd (nearly exactly) a card originally created by Sharon Skelfa.
Focal Point First
I started by die-cutting a Basic White Spotlight On Nature dotted/dash medium circle and stamped the Spotlight On Nature leaves on it a couple of times with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I also die-cut a Basic Black Stylish Shapes circle and layered the stamped circle on top.
Next, I embossed a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White cardstock with the Dotted Circles Embossing Folder, positioning it so that the center of the concentric circles would fall where I wanted my focal point to go. I adhered the focal point circles on the textured piece, hanging off the right edge just a bit, then used my Paper Snips to trim it up flush to the edge. I layered everything onto a 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ piece of Basic Black cardstock and mounted it onto a Berry Burst card base.
Focal Point Butterfly
I stamped the Spotlight On Nature butterfly in Memento Black onto Basic White and colored it with Berry Burst and Petunia Pop Stampin’ Blends Markers. I die-cut that with Paper Snips, then popped it up with Dimensionals over the leaves.
Sweet Sentiment
I stamped the Spotlight On Nature sentiment in Memento Black ink onto a 1-3/4″ x 5/8″ piece of Basic White cardstock, then trimmed the ends on the diagonal before popping up with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches
I added a few of Berry Burst colored Purple Fine Shimmer Gems near the butterfly and brushed on Wink of Stella Clear over it for coordinating sheen! I finished by tying a Very Vanilla & Black Large Check Ribbon bow and attaching it with a Glue Dot. Delightful!
