I can't take any credit for this beauty (although I certainly wish I could)! I received this card from Carmen DeBruce—it's simply gorgeous!
Look at the details of the beautiful, 3D sculpted roses! They are so realistic looking! Can you believe that they are made from using the Fancy Flower Punch? It's true! And, Carmen assures me that they are very easy to construct, too. All it takes is a little punching, sponging, cutting, curling and gluing. Card Details: Carmen used the color combination of So Saffron, Apricot Appeal and Rose (how appropriate) Red. Looks like she sponged Apricot Appeal (get this color while it lasts!) ink on her So Saffron petals and Rose Red on her Apricot Appeal petals for depth.
The leaves are created by folding a scrap of Old Olive card stock in half, then using the Large Oval Punch to punch out a partial oval (think of when you would cut out a half heart from folded paper as a child).
Play around with this technique—try the Small Oval Punch, too—you can really get quite a few leaf sizes and shapes. Plus, if you run your folded punch through the Crimper, you can even get the look of veins on your leaf. Love it!
