Seashells Die-Cut & Embossed Layer Cards
The highlight of the Sand & Sea Collection is the combination of the Seaside Seashells Dies and the Seashells 3D Embossing Folders. One cuts a beautiful, intricate sealife background, and the other adds detailed texture making the scene really come to life!
Background Basics—I adhered a 5-1/4" x 3" piece of the Seaside Spray Sand & Sea Designer Series Paper to the top of a Seaside Spray card base. Then, I added a 5-1/4" x 1" strip of Sahara Sand DSP from the same pack along the bottom.
Lovely Seaside Layers—I die-cut a 4" x 4" piece of Basic White cardstock with the large Seaside Seashells die first, then lined up the die-cut inside the Seashells Embossing Folder and ran it through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine to get that awesome textured detail! I adhered it to the card front with Liquid Multipurpose Glue. I finished the background by running a strip of SEAL Adhesive along the seam of the DSP papers and adhering a strip of Seaside Spray Scalloped Linen Ribbon. I trimmed the ends flush with the edges of the DSP.
Sweet Sentiment & Finishing Touches—I stamped the Friends Are Like Seashells sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink onto a Seaside Spray Tasteful Labels die-cut and popped it up with Dimensionals.I finished by adding a few Pearl Jewels floating around the background.
Two Cool—For my second version, I began with a Blushing Bride & So Saffron pattern of the Sand & Sea DSP, layered onto a Blushing Bride card base. This time, I die-cut a full 4" x 5-1/4" piece of the Pearlescent Specialty Paper with the Seaside Seashells Dies, then embossed it with the Seashells Folder. Oh, wow! That Pearlescent Paper looks so shimmery and AMAZING with the embossed details!
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Friends Are Like Seashells greeting in Blushing Bride onto a 1-1/8" x 1-5/8" piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, then adhered it to a So Saffron Tasteful Labels die-cut. It's popped up and adorned with a bow created from the Blushing Bride Twine in the Snail Mail Trim Combo Pack.
