Sending Smiles Hello Treat Pouches
After putting together my Sending Smiles In Color Class, I had several sheets of 6" x 6" In Color Designer Series Paper leftover, so I decided to make little treat pouches. These are super-easy to make and were the perfect little favor for my Too Cool Team Stamp & Share event this month!
Treat Pouch Template—Start with a 6" x 6" piece of Designer Series Paper.
• Using the Simply Scored or Paper Trimmer, score down the sheet at the 1-3/8" mark.
• Turn the paper clockwise, then score down the 1-3/8" mark until the intersection of the previous score line.
• Score down the whole sheet at the 2-3/4" mark.
• Score at the 4-1/8" mark down to the intersecting score line.
• Score down the whole sheet at the 5-1/2" mark.
• Fold on all score lines.
• Cut along the short score lines up to the first intersecting score line
• Trim away the small corner piece.
• Add Tear & Tape to the 1/2" tab and fold the other side over onto it to secure.
• Add Tear & Tape to 3 of the 4 flaps, fold in the flap without the adhesive first, then follow with the remaining flaps to close up the bottom.
• Punch a hole in the top with a 1/4" standard hole punch, tie with ribbon and decorate!
Parakeet Party Pouch—I designed all of the pouches to be the same with just a change in the overall pouch color. This one I made with Parakeet Party.
Ribbon Closure—I tied the Metallic Mesh Ribbon through the punched hole and trimmed for a shiny finish. You can see how big the pouch is relative to my hand. I fit about 6 Hershey Kisses inside with some room to spare.
Focal Point—I stamped the Sending Smiles leaves in Parakeet Party ink onto a Basic White Layering Circles die-cut. I added a flower in Orchid Oasis and another in Tahitian Tide. I stamped the flower centers with Polished Pink, then added two sizes of Iridescent Rhinestones to give the flowers some sparkle. I love that the gems take on the color stamped underneath!
It's layered onto a Tahitian Tide Layering Circles scalloped circle die-cut, then popped up with Dimensionals. I stamped the Sending Smiles sentiment in Polished Pink onto Basic White scrap, then hand-cut just the word, "hello," from it. It's added with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Two Cool—My second pouch has an Orchid Oasis DSP base and is decorated the same.
I'm loving this In Color combination!
Three Cool—The last pouch starts with a Tahitian Tide DSP pattern and the only thing I changed was the Parakeet Party scalloped circle layer.
