Today I'm bringing back a technique that I don't use nearly enough…multicolor stamping with markers. It works so beautifully with the Shaded Summer floral images! If you like the cards, consider placing an order with me to earn a FREE Shaded Summer LIVE Class Kit. More details below!
Also, a reminder that the registration for the Penguin Place 12-Card Class Kit will be open thru tomorrow, Tuesday, August 31 only. This is your final chance to jumpstart your holiday cards with this adorable first Countdown To Christmas class!
Penguin Place Countdown To Christmas Bundle Add-On Update: The Penguin Builder Punch is now on backorder and is not expected to be available until November 1. You can currently still order it, but it could go onto the non-orderable list soon. As far as my Countdown To Christmas class, I have turned off the Add-On Bundle option for out-of-towners, because of the added cost to ship the backordered item separately. Local stampers may still purchase the backordered Bundle Add-On and pick it up when it's available. You are welcome to order the punch separately and have it shipped directly to you as soon as it's available. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. It's always frustrating when popular items go on backorder, but it's out of our control, so we just have to find the best alternate solution. If you have ordered the Bundle Add-On kit before August 28, I anticipate having a punch in your kit.

It's been awhile since I've used my Stampin' Write Markers, but the Shaded Summer stamp set has floral images that are perfect for the cool multicolor stamping technique. It's an oldie, but definitely a goodie!
Background Basics—I stamped the Shaded Summer smaller floral image in Pale Papaya ink all over the background of a Pale Papaya card base. Then, I embossed a 5-1/2" x 1" piece of Sahara Sand cardstock with the Timber Embossing Folder. I finished the background by tying some Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon around the card front into a double-knot faux bow.
Circle Sentiment Layers—I die-cut a large Basic White circle and large Polished Pink scallop circle with the Layering Circles Dies. I stamped a Shaded Summer sentiment in Gray Granite ink onto the white circle, then layered them together and mounted them onto the card front with SEAL Adhesive.
Fabulous Floral—For the multicolor floral image, I colored directly onto the rubber with a few 2021-2023 In Color Stampin' Write Markers. I used the brush tip end to very lightly "paint" on the ink color over the flowers, leaves and stems in Pale Papaya, Polished Pink and Soft Succulent. After the entire image was covered with ink, I "huffed" on the stamp to rejuvenate the ink, then stamped onto a Basic White cardstock scrap. I die-cut the image with the Summer Shadows Dies, then popped it up with Dimensionals. Remember, the Summer Shadows Dies are a FREE selection you can choose during Sale-a-Bration when you place a $100 order.
Finishing Touches—I added a few silver Pale Papaya Genial Gems floating around the flowers. So lovely!
Two Cool—The second card has Soft Succulent images stamped all over the Soft Succulent card base, with the same embossed accent piece across the bottom. The front is tied with Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon.
Fab Floral—I colored the floral images with Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink and Soft Succulent markers this time. I added Genial Gems in Soft Succulent to match the background.
Sweet Sentiment—Rather than stamp the greeting on the circle, I stamped a longer Shaded Summer sentiment in Gray Granite onto a Fresh Freesia die-cut with the Tasteful Labels Dies. It's also popped up with Dimensionals. Beautiful!
