Shaded Summer Simple Stamping Cards
The Shaded Summer stamp set has two beautiful floral images and some awesomely versatile, all-occasion sentiments, making it a fabulous addition to your stamping collection. I paired it here with the Beautifully Penned Designer Series Paper, a FREE selection that you can choose from the Sale-a-Bration flyer when you have an order of $50 or more!
Background Basics—I started with a 2-1/2" x 5-1/2" piece of Beautifully Penned DSP adhered to a Coastal Cabana card base. I added a 1/2" x 5-1/2" strip of Bermuda Bay cardstock down the edge for a finished look. Then, I mounted a 3-1/2" x 2-3/4" piece of Mango Melody cardstock at the top of the card to create a foundation for my focal point.
Fancy Floral—I stamped the Shaded Summer large floral image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a 2-3/4" x 3-1/2" piece of Basic White. It's colored in with Bermuda Bay, Granny Apple Green and Mango Melody Stampin' Blends Markers, then popped up over the Mango Melody layer with Dimensionals.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Shaded summer greeting in Memento Black ink onto Pool Party cardstock scrap and punched it out with the Double Oval Punch. It's popped up with a Dimensional, too.
Finishing Touches—I tied some Pool Party Sheer Ribbon into a knot and attached it to the floral with a Glue Dot. I finished by adding a couple of silver Metallic Pearls under the focal point for some extra shine.
Two Cool—For the second card, I began with a Polished Pink card base, added a Melon Mambo accent strip and kept the Mango Melody focal point foundation layer. I also tied some Bumblebee Gingham Trim around the card front. It looks great with Mango Melody, even if it isn't an exact match.
Fab Floral—I swapped the Bermuda Bay with Polished Pink for the flowers and added the sentiment directly to the focal point layer. So quick and pretty!
