Share A Milkshake Celebrate Dotted Card

Here's a super-cute Share A Milkshake card for celebrating a birthday, anniversary or Valentine's Day. It's created by Melissa Davies and I love all of the sweet layers and elements she added.
Background Basics—Melissa started by stamping the festive Hand-Drawn Dots background stamp in White Craft Ink onto a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Crumb Cake. I have that dotted background stamp and haven't even used it yet! What a fun and versatile pattern! Wheeee! She mounted that onto a Sweet Sorbet card base.

Sweet Foundation—Next, Melissa die-cut a Crumb Cake Share A Milkshake cross-hatch element, cut it into two pieces and adhered it to the background with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. She also die-cut a Basic White Stylish Shapes circle and popped it up with Dimensionals. That was decorated with a 1/2" strip of Sweet Sorbet In Color Designer Series Paper, banner cut on the ends and folded to mimic a banner. It's adhered with Liquid Glue, too.
Sweet Shake—Melissa stamped the milkshake image in Crumb Cake ink onto a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock and die-cut it. The ice cream was stamped in Blushing Bride ink onto Brushing Bride cardstock and die-cut. The cherry was stamped in Sweet Sorbet ink and die-cut, along with an Early Espresso die-cut cherry for the stem. The straw was die-cut from more of the Sweet Sorbet patterned In Color DSP and slid through the slot in the ice cream. The whole assembled milkshake was them popped up onto the circle. Soooo sweet!
Sweet Sentiment—Melissa stamped the Share A Milkshake sentiment in White Craft Ink onto a 1/2" strip of Basic White, trimmed the ends and adhered it over the focal point using part SEAL and part Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—Melissa really fancied it up by sprinkling some Sweet Sorbet die-cut hearts from the same Share A Milkshake Dies and some sparkly Iridescent Rhinestones all around the focal point. So delicious!

Share A Milkshake Cherry On Top Dotted Card
Peggy Tassler also paired the Hand-Drawn Dots background with the Share A Milkshake elements! She stamped them in Balmy Blue ink onto a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Balmy Blue cardstock and mounted it onto a Polished Pink card base.

Background Basics—Next, Peggy embossed a 2-1/2" x 4" piece of Early Espresso cardstock with the Cane Weave Embossing Folder, mounting it at an angle on the card front. She punched a 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" piece of Basic White cardstock with a retired Spiral Binding Punch, but you could get a similar look with the dotted border from the Happiness Abounds Dies. Peggy stamped some Polished Pink Share A Milkshake hearts on that piece before mounting over the textured piece. She finished the cool backdrop with a Polished Pink cross-hatch die-cut adhered with Liquid Glue.

Sweet Shake—Peggy stamped the Share A Milkshake milkshake glass image in Balmy Blue ink onto Basic White cardstock and the ice cream in Early Espresso ink twice onto Basic White cardstock. The straw stripes and cherry were stamped in Polished Pink ink onto Basic White cardstock. All of those elements were die-cut then adhered together, with the straw slid into the slot, and popped up with Dimensionals onto the card front.
Sweet Sentiment—She stamped the Share A Milkshake sentiment in Polished Pink ink onto a Basic White Stylish Shapes circle die-cut. After adding some loops of silver cord to the back, she popped this up, as well.
Finishing Touches—Peggy altered the color of some Opal Rounds with a Dark Polished Pink Stampin' Blends Marker, then added them around the focal point. So yummy!
