Sandy's Two Golden Dashing Deer Card
Oooh, I love the shiny & glittery focal point on Sandy Carlson's Dashing Deer swap card!
Background Basics—Sandy started with a Very Vanilla Thick card base, then adhered a 1-1/4" x 5-1/2 strip of All Is Bright Designer Series Paper down the side. I love what she did next…popping up a 3-1/4" x 5-1/2" panel of Very Vanilla onto the card front. It adds a little unexpected interest to the card.
Focal Point Background—Sandy die-cut a 1-7/8" Real Red circle with the Stitched Shapes Framelits and adhered it to a 2-1/4" Layering Circles die-cut. Before attaching it to the card front, she added lots of loops of Gold Metallic Thread behind it. Simply cover the back of the circle with SNAIL, loop the thread around your fingers, twist into a "figure 8" and lay onto the adhesive back. Fluff the loops to your liking, then add Dimensionals to hold the loops in place and pop up the element.
Sweet Sentiment—Next, she stamped the bottom line of the Dashing Deer sentiment in Real Red ink onto a 4-1/4" x 3/8" strip of Very Vanilla. She fishtail cut the ends, then adhered it to another 4" x 3/4" Garden Green banner strip and attached it to the front of the circles.
Dashing Deer & Finishing Touches—I also love the way she cut the two tiny deer with the Detailed Deer Thinlits out of two different golds: Gold Glimmer Paper and Gold Foil Sheets. They are popped up, too. Last, but not least, she added three gold Metallic Pearls floating above the focal point to pick up the gold accents. What a lovely design!

Karen's Stunning Silver Dashing Deer Card
Wow! This simple swap card from Karen Titus is quite the stunner!
Card Base Basics—Karen begins her card with a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White. She added a 2" x 3-1/4" piece of the Twinkle, Twinkle Designer Series Paper to the center of the piece, then stamped the Dashing Deer sentiment right below it in Night of Navy ink. It's mounted onto a Whisper White Thick card base.
Dashing Deer—She die-cut the Silver Foil deer with the Detailed Deer Thinlit using the Precision Base Plate for a smooth foil surface. It's mounted onto the front with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen, then accented with a few Rhinestone Jewels. Done!
