I started by adhering a 2″ x 4″ piece of the Lovely & Beautiful Designer Series Paper to the right side of a Basic Beige card base. Next, I embossed a 5-1/4″ x 1-1/2″ piece of Peach Pie cardstock with the All In A Row Embossing Folder (now retired). I finished the background by tying some Basic Beige Classic Ribbon around the card front into a double-knot and trimming the ends.

I stamped the Simply Beautiful large flower image, along with the two leaves images from the same set, in VersaMark Ink onto Basic White cardstock. I sprinkled on some white Wow! Basics Embossing Powder, tapped off the excess, then heated it with the Heat Tool until glossy & smooth.

Next, I added color to the images with Blending Brushes & ink pads: Fresh Freesia for the flower and Old Olive for the leaves. TIPS: After picking up the color from the ink pad, pounce the brush once onto scrap paper to soften the “blob” look. Also, start with a light touch, coming in from the edge of the image toward the center using small circles. Layer the color several times and use a heavier hand for darker application.

Then, I added some darker shading to the flower petals and leaf veining with Fresh Freesia & Old Olive Blends Markers. I went over the images once more with the Blending Brush to smooth out any harsh lines. NOTE: The embossing powder with resist the ink pad color and let the white image “pop.” Blends Markers will not be resisted, but you can wipe off excess right away to take off most of the color. Otherwise, the color will permanently stain the embossing powder.

Once the images were completely dry, I die-cut them with the coordinating Simply Beautiful Dies, popping the flower up with Dimensionals and tucking the leaves underneath with SEAL Adhesive.

I stamped the Simply Beautiful sentiment in Old Olive ink onto a scrap piece of Basic White cardstock, fussy-cut it and popped it up with a combination of Dimensionals & SEAL.

I added a few Antique Pearls, which match the Basic Beige perfectly, around the focal point for some pretty shine. Just lovely!
