Simply Fabulous Saying Hello Cards
I wasn't sure I was going to get the Simply Fabulous stamp set, but I'm thinking that today's two swap cards have changed my mind. First, I love all of the fun sentiments! Second, Those bold, sweet flowers create lovely bouquets, backgrounds and accents! Third, who knew that the Butterfly Kisses Designer Series Paper had images that perfectly match the images in the Simply Fabulous stamp set?! Too Cool!
Background Basics—This first card was created by Sarah Simon and it has a simple panel design. She started with a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Starry Sky cardstock as the foundation and adhered 3-3/4" x 1" strips of Butterfly Kisses Designer Series Paper along the top and bottom. A 3-3/4" x 2-7/8" piece of another pattern of Butterfly Kisses DSP was adhered to the center, then the whole piece was mounted onto a vertically folded, 4-1/4" x 11" Fresh Freesia card base.
Focal Point Layer—Sarah stamped the Simply Fabulous sentiment onto a 2-3/4" x 2-5/8" piece of Basic White with the Starry Sky ink. She added two more Simply Fabulous images: one a trio of stems and another a small leafy branch in Orchid Oasis and flower buds in Fresh Freesia. That layer was adhered to the center of the card. She finished by stamping a flower in Calypso Coral, cutting it out and popping it up with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—Sarah added a Night of Navy Solid Faceted Gem in the flower center. She also tied a bow with the Starry Night Metallic Weave Ribbon and attached it with a Glue Dot to the flowers. Love it!
Two Cool—The second swap card was created by Nancy Spence. I love all of the pretty layers and textures! Her background begins with a large Coastal Cabana Stitched Rectangle die-cut and another 3-1/8" x 4-3/8" piece of Coastal Cabana that was die cut with the new Dots & Spots Die. Both layers are adhered together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue then tied with some Orchid Oasis In Color Baker's Twine. She stamped the Simply Fabulous flower image in Coastal Cabana all over the front of a vertically folded, 4-1/4" x 11" Coastal Cabana card base. Notice that some of the images are stamped off once, too. The die-cut layers were popped up onto the card front.
Focal Point—Nancy stamped the Simply Fabulous greeting in Orchid Oasis onto Basic White, cut it out and popped it up with Dimensionals over the twine. Then she stamped several flowers onto Basic White cardstock in Coastal Cabana with Orchid Oasis centers, Calypso Coral with Calypso Coral center, stamped off Flirty Flamingo with Calypso Coral center. She also stamped some leaves in Parakeet Party and Old Olive. All of the flowers and leaves were hand-cut and added around the sentiment with Dimensionals and Mini Dimensionals. She finished by brushing some Wink of Stella onto the flowers…oh so lovely!
Inside The Card—I love how Nancy decorated the inside with a mini bouquet. Sentiment is in Orchid Oasis. Flowers in Coastal Cabana with Orchid Oasis centers, Flirty Flamingo stamped off flower with Calypso Coral center and Parakeet Party leaves. She even flicked some flecks of color from her Orchid Oasis Stampin' Blend brush tip for some cool detail. So fabulous!

I enjoy both cards as they are so colorful. The Starry Sky one is bright and cheerie to look at. Would be great for someone who is under the weather as a pick-me-up card. Thanks for sharing.
