Have you ever sat down with a bunch of new stamping items, excited about trying them all out, but you can't decide where in the world to start for that first project?  Well, that's where I am today, folks! 

I don't have one finished project to show you and I'm overwhelmed with newness!

So Many Stamps, So Little Time!  I'm sitting here surrounded by fun new stamp sets, dozens of pretty new papers, exciting new tools & embellishments, and awesome new In Colors from the Annual Catalog—it's an awful, awful problem!  There's no way I can put all of it on even TWO cool cards!  Decisions, decisions, decisions! 

Hey, I Found This On Pinterest!  I thought that maybe it would help if I looked online at some of my favorite blogs or checked out Pinterest.  Wrong!  I just wasted two hours of my day and I have 44,000 fabulous card ideas I want to try…right now!  Not helping!

This Is Getting Sketchy!  Then I thought maybe it would help if I found a card sketch from some current sketch challenges.  That would at least provide me with a design that I could focus on.  So, I spent another hour Googling and found some fun challenges happening every week!  Here are the ones I liked best:

I have never done a sketch challenge before, but it sure looks like fun!  I think I can find one here to get me started! 

Ever Sketched? Have YOU ever done a card sketch before?  In which ones do you participate?  I've often thought it would be fun to make my own card sketch challenge on my blog.  All I know is that it ain't gonna begin on this indecisive day!  LOL!

More Colorful Questions!  And, then there are the color selections!  I always seem to lean toward my favorites, so I'd love to try something different.  If I'm having trouble visualizing different color combinations I love to visit the My Create Ink Color Lab!  Have you ever been there?  Ohhhh!!!!  Its a fun, fun place to experiment! 

The Color Lab has all of the Stampin' Up! colors, including the In Colors and even retired colors, listed down the side.  It gives you 5 "ink wells" at the top to virtually fill up with the colors you select, allowing you to see them side-by-side. 

Here are a few combinations that I came up with for today:

Play around with different combinations or hit the "surprise me" button to have a random color combination pop up for you!  It's perfect for people like me who are having a difficult time choosing! 

This was a "surprise me" combo that I thought was fun!

Or, if you know one or two colors you want to work with, select those, then do a search to find combinations that include those colors.   I discovered this combination for Lost Lagoon that I LOVE!

Now I just need to pick some supplies and get to getting started!  I'm not sure if I made my selection process easier or more difficult, but it sure is fun "thinking" about it all!  My head is spinning with ideas!  😀
