Sketched Butterflies Thinking of You Card
I love Petunia Pop and Peach Pie colors together. What other colors can we add to make a bright color palette? How about Gorgeous Grape and Flirty Flamingo!
Background Basics
I started by embossing a 4-1/4′ x 1-1/2″ piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock with the Dashing Designs Embossing Folder and adhering it to a Gorgeous Grape card base.
Focal Point Foundation
I stamped a Sketched Butterflies sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the upper left corner of a 3″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Basic White. I layered it onto a 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″ piece of Petunia Pop cardstock. Then, I wrapped a strip of Iridescent Striped Trim Ribbon around the bottom of the layers, securing the ends of the ribbon to the back with SEAL Adhesive. It’s mounted onto the card front with SEAL, as well.
Focal Point
I stamped each of the three Sketched Butterflies images in Memento Black onto a Basic White cardstock. After letting it completely dry (to prevent bleeding), I colored the butterflies with Stampin’ Blends Markers. The large butterfly is colored in Petunia Pop and Peach Piece on the wings. The middle-size butterfly is colored with Flirty Flamingo and Peach Pie with Petunia Pop spots. The small butterfly is Petunia Pop and Peach Pie. All butterflies have a Dark Highland Heather body. I die-cut them with the coordinating Sketched Butterflies Dies and popped them up with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches
I added a few Iridescent Pearls floating around the butterflies. Optional: consider brushing some Wink of Stella glimmer on the winks for extra sparkle.
