Snail Mail Extended Circle Fun-Fold Cards The fun images in the Snail Mail suite are perfect for decorating this cool, extended circle fun-fold card!
Background Basics—This card begins with a 9-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece of Pool Party cardstock, scored at the 2-1/4" and 6-1/2" marks. I used the 2-1/4" circle punch to make the circle hole in the card. Simply come in from the long side, line up the first score line down the center of the circle punch, make sure your cardstock is all the way into the punch, then punch!
Extended Circle—To attach the circle, I added a 4" x 4" piece of Basic White cardstock onto the inside of the card. Don't forget to decorate that inside piece before you adhere it! I added Real Red hearts from the Snailed It stamp set. Next, I closed the top flap and adhered a 2-1/4" Bermuda Bay Circle punched shape to that inside cardstock with SEAL Adhesive. It fits right in the notch, so it's easy to line up.
Decorating the Top—I added a 4" x 3-3/4" strip of Snail Mail Designer Series Paper to the bottom of the top front panel, then stamped some additional hearts in Pool Party across the top. I created a foundation for the snail with a Basic White Stitched Shapes circle. I stamped the Snailed It snail in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White cardstock and die-cut it with the coordinating Snail die. That little cutie is colored in with Stampin' Blends Markers in Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party and Real Red colors.
Decorating the Bottom—I adhered a 4" x 2-3/4" piece of Snail Mail DSP across the bottom panel and tied some White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon around it. Next, I created the sentiment element that acts as a closure for this cool card. I stamped the Snailed It sentiment in Memento Black onto Basic White and punched it out with the Rectangle Postage Stamp Punch. I also stamped the heart in Real Red, colored it with Flirty Flamingo Blends and die-cut it with the heart-shaped Snail die. I attached the sentiment with Dimensionals positioned at the bottom of the element only, so the top can overlap the top flap and hold it down loosely. I finished with a couple of Real Red Resin Hearts.
Two Cool—My second card begins with a Blushing Bride card base, decorated with coordinating Snail Mail Designer Series Paper.
Sweet Snail—I created a similar snail focal point, colored just slightly differently and popped up onto a Real Red circle punch. I also stamped the Snailed It sentiment onto the top of this panel.
Merry Mushrooms—I stamped the Snailed It mushrooms image in Memento Black onto Basic White, colored them with Stampin' Blends Markers in coordinating colors, and die-cut with the matching Snail die. It's popped up along the bottom of the image to create the colorful closure on this card. Sweet!
Inside—This time I cut a strip of the mushroom Snail Mail DSP that creates the perfect border! Love it!
