Snail Mail Happy Mail Collage Cards There are lots of adorable coordinating elements in the Snail Mail Suite…perfect for building a happy mail collage! I created two different cards using many pre-printed elements straight from the Snail Mail Designer Series Paper. These are just a few of the whimsical images that you can cut out and add to your projects. A few of the images can even be die-cut with the Snail Dies! Let's take a closer look!
Background Basics—I embossed a 2" x 5-1/4" piece of Blushing Bride cardstock with the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder and layered it down the edge of the Blushing Bride card base. That scripted background coordinates so well with the idea of a written letter, or happy mail! Next, I adhered a 2-1/2" x 4" piece of Snail Mail DSP onto a 2-5/8" x 4-1/8" piece of Real Red cardstock. I tied a piece of the Real Red stitched satin Playful Pets Trim around the layers, then mounted them onto the card front.
Cool Collage—I started by cutting out some elements from the Snail Mail DSP. The large snail with a mustache and the letter were cut out with Paper Snips, and the envelope was cut with the coordinating die. Next, I stamped the Snailed it "happy mail" image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Pool Party and punched it out with the Rectangle Postage Stamp Punch. I stamped the same image onto Basic White scrap, colored it in with Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends Markers, and die-cut it with the die to add a colorful element onto the stamp. All of the elements were then positioned and popped up with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—I finished by adding a red Resin Heart to the postage stamp envelope and two white Resin Hearts floating around the card. Oooh…I just love those tiny little hearts!
Two Cool—For my second card, which will be the version in the LIVE Class Kit, I started with a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White embossed with the Scripty Folder and mounted onto a Thick Basic White card base. I selected a different DSP pattern, this time cut to 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" and layered onto a 2-5/8" x 3-5/8" piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock.
Sweet Snail—The colorful pre-printed snail was die-cut directly from Snail Mail DSP and popped up with Dimensionals. He would look even better with some Wink of Stella shimmer, I bet!
Happy Mail—This time I stamped the Snailed It image in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Basic White, colored the envelope with Pool Party Blends and punched it with the Postage Stamp Punch. It's popped up onto a 1-1/2" x 2" piece of Real Red to make this focal point pop! I added a single red Resin Heart to the envelope. OMG…that tiny heart…so sweet!
