Pretty Petals Washi Label Thanks Cards
I've been on a mission to spread a little cheer by sending more cards, but one of my biggest obstacles has been having enough cards on hand to send. That's why I've been focusing on creating cards that are simple & quick, yet super cute! I love that, not only do these cards fit that criteria, they also allow me to use up some of my soon-to-retire Designer Series Paper scraps! Bonus!
Bye-Bye, Washi Label Punch! I created these cards as part of my team meeting make & takes on Monday, then found out on Tuesday that the Washi Label Punch was officially sold out. What a bummer! Fortunately, you can still duplicate the design by substituting hand-cut banners of DSP instead. Here's how it all comes together…
CASEd from Susan Itell at Simple Stampin'.
Background Basics—I started by creating a foundation for my label punches: 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" Very Vanilla card stock matted on a 2-5/8" x 3-7/8" Basic Black layer, than popped up on a Very Vanilla card base with Dimensionals.
Washi Label Punches or Banners—I used the Washi Label Punch to punch out four coordinating Calypso Coral patterns from the Pretty Petals Designer Series Stack. You could use 2-1/4" x 5/8" strips that are fishtailed on the ends instead.
Sweet Sentiment—Next, I stamped the Cottage Greetings sentiment in Memento Black ink onto Very Vanilla and punched that out, as well. All of the punched shapes were carefully positioned on the foundation and popped up with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—I added a single Pearl Jewel for an accent. Quick, easy, DONE!
Two Cool—My second card features a the same layout using Mint Macaron patterns from the same Pretty Petals DSP.
Complete Supplies List—"Clear" means a rubber stamp on a clear block. "Photopolymer" is see-thru.
- Stamps—Cottage Greetings (clear, wood)
- Ink—Memento Black Ink
- Paper—Pretty Petals DSP Stack; Basic Black & Very Vanilla card stock
- Accessories—Pearl Jewels
- Tools—Washi Label Punch (sold out), Dimensionals, SNAIL
