Snow Is Glistening Non-Traditional Color Cards
I love traditional reds and greens and all shades of blue for holiday cards, but occasionally, I like to try out some unexpected holiday color combinations. I'm loving these two Snow Is Glistening cards featuring pinks and purples. How fun!
Background Basics—I started with a Blushing Bride card base cut to 7-1/4" x 5-1/2" and scored at the 3" mark. Next, I embossed a 2-3/4" x 5-1/4" piece of Blushing Bride cardstock with the Subtle Texture Impressions Folder and adhered it to the shortened card front with a couple strips of Tear & Tape and SNAIL Adhesive.
Serene Snowflakes—I stamped the Snow Is Glistening sentiment in Basic Gray ink onto a 3" x 4-1/4" piece of Whisper White to ensure positioning that I liked. Next, I stamped the three different sizes of Snow Is Glistening snowflakes randomly all over the background. I began by stamping the largest image in Blushing Bride, then added a few medium snowflakes in Lovely Lipstick and I filled in the spaces with the smallest snowflake in Smoky Slate. I love how those colors look together!
Finishing Touches—I added one of the pretty Snowflake Trinkets to the bottom left with a Glue Dot, then floated a couple of Rhinestone Jewels around the sentiment.
Cool Cover—I matted the stamped layer onto a 3-1/8" x 4-3/8" piece of Smoke Slate cardstock, then popped up the layers with Dimensionals onto the short card front.
Two Cool—My second version begins with a Gorgeous Grape shortened card base and embossed layer on the front.
Stamped Snowflakes—This time, the large snowflake was stamped in Petal Pink, the medium snowflake in Gorgeous Grape and the smallest in Smoky Slate. Oooh, I love that combination, too! I used a different sentiment on this one, too.
