Hi Stamping Friends!
Only 2 Days to register for my December Stamp-of-the-Month Class featuring Snow Place. Registration closes on Friday, December 4. Today I'm sharing my very favorite card from the class! Not only does it feature those adorable winter characters, it also has a super-cool, double Z-fold! I was introduced to this fun style of card by Peggy Murwin's and her awesome Founder's Circle swap card! Let's take a look!

This fun-fold card is the last card design from my December Stamp of the Month class featuring the adorable Snow Place stamp set! This card may look complicated, but it's very easy to create with just one cut and a couple of properly placed score lines!
CASEd from Peggy Murwin at Stamp With Peggy
Side Pull Card Basics—This card starts with a quarter-sheet card base; 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" Cherry Cobbler. The main folded part of the card starts with a 9-3/4" x 4" piece of Island Indigo. Here's how you cut & score it:
- Using the Stampin' Trimmer, line the 4" side up with the 1" mark on your cutter, then cut from the 3" mark to the 7-1/2" mark, as shown in the photo.
- Rotate the card 90°. Using the Stampin' Trimmer score blade or the Simply Scored platform, score at the 3" mark down to the cut line, at the 5-1/4" mark all the way down, and at the 7-1/2" from the cut line to the bottom. The first score line and the bottom of the second score line will be a "mountain" fold. The top of the second score line and the third score line will be "valley" folds. Adhere the folded piece to the card base with Fast Fuse or Tear & Tape Adhesive for a secure hold. Decorate!
Measurements of Background Layers
- Front focal point: 2-7/8" square of Basic Black, 2-3/4" square of Cherry Cobbler and 2-5/8" square of Whisper White.
- Bottom panel: 5-1/8" x 7/8" Basic Black and 5" x 3/4" piece of Merry Moments Designer Series Paper.
- Inside panel: 4-1/4" x 2-3/4" piece of Whisper White.
Snowman Details—I stamped the Snow Place snowman in Archival Black Ink on the 2-5/8" square of Whisper White and colored in his nose with a Tangelo Twist Stampin' Write Marker. His hat and arms were also stamped in Archival Black. I colored in the hat band with a Cherry Cobbler marker. The scarf is stamped in Island Indigo and the candy cane in Cherry Cobbler. All elements are die-cut with the coordinating Snow Friends Framelits and the accessories are popped up with Dimensionals. I added one Rhinestone Jewel to the hat for sparkle.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped all over the 4-1/4" x 2-3/4" Whisper White inside panel with the snowflakes from the Snow Place set in a very subtle Soft Sky color. The sentiment is stamped in Cherry Cobbler. I finished the inside with a few floating Rhinestones.
Shortened Sentiment TIP: You'll want to select a sentiment that is small enough to fit into the area that shows when the card is closed. I really wanted to use the "Merry Christmas" stamp, but it was too long to fit. Since it is photopolymer, I cut the two words apart and stuck them on the block on two lines. If I want to use the long sentiment again, I can line up the words again at the cut-line. Too Cool!
Here's another view of this fancy fold! I can't wait to try it with other stamp sets! So fun!
Two Cool—For the second card, I stamped the penguin in Archival Black and colored his feet and beak with Tangelo Twist. His bow tie is Island Indigo, and his hat and candy cane are Cherry Cobbler.
Bundle It & SAVE! Don't forget that you can save 15% when you purchase the Snow Place and Snow Friends Framelits together in a bundle!
