Snowfall Thinlits Send You A Blizzard Cards
If this card doesn't make you want all of those GORGEOUS snowflake shapes in the Snowfall Thinlits, then nothing will! They are spotlighted in all their sparkly goodness! Marsha Henry brought this card design to our last Too Cool team shoebox swap and I loved it so much I had to try it out immediately in Gorgeous Grape! I know you'll love it, too!
Background Basics—The background begins with a 5-1/4" x 4" Night of Navy cardstock layer embossed with the Swirls & Curls Texture Impressions Folder. I adhered it with SNAIL and Tear & Tape Adhesive for a secure hold. Next I added a 4-7/8" x 1" strip of Silver Foil along the bottom.
Sparkly Snowflakes—I die-cut as many snowflakes as I could from a 5-1/4" x 4" layer of Sparkle Glimmer Paper using the Snowfall Thinlits, so I could use some here and save some for another card! I like to use the Precision Base Plate for best results, and I found running it through 3 times gave crisp cuts and allowed the snowflakes to release easily from the dies. I adhered the largest snowflake with a couple of pieces of Tear & Tape at the center. I added a smaller snowflake on tip with a Mini Dimensional, then attached a beautiful Snowflake Trinket on top with a Glue Dot. Stunning!
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Beautiful Blizzard sentiment in Night of Navy ink onto a 3" x 1-1/4" piece of Whisper White. I used a 1/2" Circle Punch to notch out each of the corners for a decorative label look.
Finishing Touches—I completed the card by adding four more of the small Sparkle Glimmer snowflakes die-cut from Snowfall Thinlits. They are attached with Glue Dots.
Two Cool—I CASEd Marsha's card design using Gorgeous Grape as the main color and moving the elements to the other side. So pretty!
