Snowflake Soiree In Silver & Gold

I'm currently working on cards for a Holiday Stamp-A-Stack event that is scheduled for November 18 (mark your calendars!).  I am pretty positive that today's card design will be part of the Stack, because I think it is gorgeous!

I simply adore the striking elegance of this card design.  Mary's version was gold, but in my true "two cool" style, I decided to create one in gold and one in silver.  The both look amazing!

The gold version begins with Very Vanilla card stock, opening vertically, with a Brushed Gold panel for the background.  Very Vanilla Seam Binding wraps around the card front and is adhered to the front of the card underneath the snowflake panel.

The front of the card is decorated with the various sizes of intricate snowflakes, and the "believe" sentiment, from the Snowflake Soiree set!  The images are inked with VersaMark, then heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder.  All of the snowflakes are topped with Pearl Jewels.

The Very Vanilla Seam Binding bow is not attached to the other ribbon, it's simply a bow that's adhered with a Glue Dot. 

The silver version is done with Whisper White card stock, a Brushed Silver card stock accent layer, and Silver Embossing Powder. 

I used White Organza Ribbon to match.  And, notice how the Pearl Jewels take on the card stock base color; the first ones look like a cream color, but they appear more "white" on the white card.  Interesting.  I like it!

This card is simple, and simply beautiful at the same time!  The perfect combination for a holiday card—especially a Stamp-A-Stack one!
