Snowflake Wishes For A Merry Christmas Cards
If you select the Countdown To Christmas Snowflake Wishes class kit, you'll make all 4 of these pretty holiday cards. The 5-Card LIVE Class Kit includes the first card only. Let's see how it's created!
Background Basics—I embossed a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock with the beautiful Winter Snow Embossing Folder, then adhered a 4" x 2" piece of Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper across the bottom. I wrapped a piece of lovely iridescent Snowflake Splendor Ribbon across the top of the DSP, securing the ends on the back, then mounted the layers onto a Night of Navy card base.
Sensation Snowflakes—The snowflake collage focal point is so fun to make! Pick 4 snowflake images and stamp each in a wintery coordinating color and you have a beautiful background onto a Whisper White Stitched Rectangle die-cut! I started by stamping the largest snowflake twice in Misty Moonlight, added the next largest snowflake a few times in Highland Heather, stamped the next smallest snowflake in Pool Party and finished by stamping the multi-snowflake image in Balmy Blue to fill in the gaps. Make sure the snowflakes go off the edge of the die-cut and overlap for the best look!
I popped up the layer with Dimensionals onto the card front.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped a Snowflake Wishes greeting in Misty Moonlight ink onto a 3-1/4" x 3/4" piece of Pool Party, then adhere it onto the top of the snowflake layer with SEAL adhesive.
Finishing Touches—I finished by die-cutting a Night of Navy snowflake with the So Many Snowflakes dies and attaching it with a Glue Dot. I topped it with a Blue Adhesive-Backed Gem. A totally cool card in my favorite Too Cool colors!
Two Cool—The second card uses the identical elements on a horizontal card. The only difference is the snowflake images used on the stamped focal point. Which do you like best, vertical or horizontal? You can create your favorite style with the kit!
Three Cool—I experimented with a different color combination for the other two cards from the Countdown To Christmas kit. This one begins with a Highland Heather embossed layer, a different pattern of Snowflake Splendor DSP and a Gorgeous Grape card base.
Finishing Touches—The sentiment is stamped in Pacific Point ink this time on the same Pool Party element. I finished with a Gorgeous Grape die-cut topped with the Blue Gems.
Four Cool—Here's a vertical version of the Gorgeous Grape color…all elements are otherwise the same. Love it!
