Snowflake Wishes Recessed Window Cards
There are so many fantastic products in the Snowflake Splendor Suite, and the Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper is certainly the show-stopper! With it's cool blues & aqua watercolor images, it create a lovely color palette for beautiful wintery cards! Today's projects feature this pretty paper as part of the card front, so you can enjoy both sides of this double-sided DSP!
Background Basics—You can create this card with supplies in the 5-Card LIVE Class Kit! I started with a 5-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Pacific Point cardstock, scored along the 5-1/4" side at the 4-1/4" mark. This leaves a 1" panel for the card front. I cut a 4" x 5-1/2" piece of Snowflake Splendor DSP and adhered it to the skinny panel to complete the card front.
Double-Sided DSP—Since the DSP is the card front, you can enjoy the beautiful backside of the paper when you open the card! I decorated the inside with a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock, stamped with Snowflake Wishes snowflakes in Pacific Point, Highland Heather and Balmy Blue.
Snowflake Windows—I used a couple of snowflake dies from the So Many Snowflakes Dies set to cut two windows out of the top right of a 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock. I saved those snowflake die-cuts, so I could use them on another card, which I'll share with you tomorrow! Next, I stamped some snowflake images from the Snowflake Wishes stamp set in Pacific Point and Highland Heather inks. Then, I popped up the layer over the card front with Dimensionals, creating pretty recessed windows. My favorite!
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Snowflake Wishes sentiment in Pacific Point ink onto a Purple Posy Stitched Shapes circle. It's popped up, too!
Finishing Touches—I added the popular Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems to the centers of the two recessed snowflake windows, as well as one of the stamped snowflake images. Love that sparkle!
Two Cool—For the second card, I began with a Night of Navy card base and adhered the same pattern of Snowflake Splendor DSP on the front. This time, however, I adhered the DSP to the top of the skinny card front panel, rather than behind it. This allows the DSP to create a complete border around the recessed windows layer. Either way is fun!

Recessed Layer—I stamped this one with Balmy Blue and Misty Moonlight Snowflake Wishes images. The sentiment is in Misty Moonlight on the same Purple Posy circle die-cut.
