I couldn’t wait to decorate these adorable blank Book Treat Boxes from the Mini Catalog. They remind me of the Life Savers Books that I used to receive in my Christmas stocking. The boxes are plain white, food-safe and come in two parts that are easy to assemble with the glue strips already attached. The package includes parts to make 10 boxes. They can be stamped on directly, but I chose to decorate with layers of cardstock, DSP, stamping and embellishments! OOOoooh…so fun!

Inventory Update: These Book Treat Boxes are currently unavailable and are expected back in stock on November 4, 2024.

I started by embossing a 2-5/8″ x 3-5/8″ piece of Pool Party cardstock with the Forever Plaid Embossing Folder. I layered that onto a 2-3/4″ x 3-3/4″ piece of Poppy Parade cardstock, then tied some Real Red and White Baker’s Twine around the layers and adhered it to the cover of the book box with SEAL Adhesive. TIP: Before adhering, check out the cool tab closure that I made…

The Book Treat Box has a tab that comes with adhesive on the back. I did not want the tab closed permanently; I wanted the recipient to be able to open and close it without ruining the box. So, when I adhered the layers on the front, I left space for the tab to slide underneath it.

Next, I die-cut a Pool Party Nested Essentials label and stamped it with Snowy Wonder snowflakes in Pool Party ink. It’s adhered to the background with more SEAL.

The focal point comes directly from the Snowy Scenes Designer Series Paper. I fussy-cut the cute snow globe from one of the patterns, then popped it up with Dimensionals. There are lots of different snow globe designs on the paper, so you can pick your favorite or create dozens of similar projects from one package of paper.

I added a few of the popular Real Red & White Peppermints around the globe. Oh.My.Goodness! Those little candies are the BEST! No wonder they have sold out FOUR times already. Inventory Update: The Peppermints are currently unavailable, but coming back around November 18, 2024)

I stamped the Snowy Wonder sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a Basic White label die-cut from the Perennial Postage Dies. It’s popped up with more Dimensionals.

I added some coordinating Snowy Scenes DSP around the “pages” sides of the box measuring 2-1/2″ x 3/4″ for the top and bottom and 3-1/4″ x 3/4″ for the side. I also added a 3-3/4″ x 7/8″ strip of Poppy Parade cardstock for the spine.

There is A LOT of room inside this box! It’s the perfect size for Gift Cards! I created these for my Too Cool Stampers Team monthly gifts and filled it with candy and, of course, some peppermints! Sweet!
