Awww…that little penguin is so cute! I had fun creating this candy cane card with the ultra-popular little Real Red & White Adhesive-Backed Peppermints! Currently, those peppermints are sold out (I think for the 3rd time!), but they should be back around October 21.

I started with a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Poppy Parade cardstock that I embossed with the Forever Plaid Embossing Folder. It’s adhered to a Thick Basic White card base.

Next, I adhered a 3″ x 3″ piece of the candy cane patterned Snowy Scenes DSP to a 3-1/8″ x 3-1/8″ Shaded Spruce mat. It’s mounted with SEAL Adhesive to the card front.

I stamped the Snowy Wonder greeting in Shaded Spruce ink onto a 5-1/4″ x 1″ strip of Basic White. It’s adhered across the card front with SEAL Adhesive.

I created a foundation for the focal point by die-cutting a Basic White Stylish Shapes square and matting it onto a 2-1/8″ x 2-1/8″ piece of Poppy Parade. It’s popped up over the sentiment strip.

Next, I stamped the Snowy Wonder penguin in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto Basic White and colored in the nose and feet with Light Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blender Marker. I also stamped the candy cane and one present with Real Red ink onto Basic White and a second gift image in Poppy Parade. I colored the candy cane with Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends Marker. I die-cut all of the images with the coordinating Snowy Wonder die-cuts and adhered them to the square with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I tied a bow with the shiny Shaded Spruce 1/2″ Satin & Sheer Ribbon and attached it with a Glue Dot. I finished by adding a couple of those sweet Real Red & White Peppermints. They should be back in stock around October 21, 2024.
