Add the cute DSP for a lovely coordinated background, or cut out the pre-printed snow globes for an instant, cool focal point. I don’t generally send many “New Year” cards, but I couldn’t resist creating a fun winter card using the Petal Pink patterns from the Snowy Scenes Designer Series Paper. Who wouldn’t want to receive this cheerful card as the new year begins?!

I started with a 4-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ piece of Basic White cardstock mounted onto a Petal Pink card base. Next, I adhered a 5-1/2″ x 1″ strip of Soft Sea Foam across the lower part of the card front.

I adhered some strips of Snowy Wonder DSP onto a 4-1/8″ x 3-1/8″ piece of Poppy Parade cardstock: 1-1/2″ x 3 and 3/4″ x 3″ in one pattern and 1-3/4″ x 3″ in another pattern. I added the layers to the card front with SEAL Adhesive.

I stamped a Snowy Wonder snowman in Pebbled Path ink onto Basic White and die-cut it with the coordinating Snowy Wonder dies. I also stamped two sizes of trees in Soft Sea Foam onto Basic White and die-cut them, too. Finally, I die-cut a small Soft Sea Foam tree and Poppy Parade hat. After coloring the snowman nose with a Light Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends Marker, I popped him up with Dimensionals. The tall tree is adhered with SEAL, and the other two trees are popped up with Dimensionals. I finished by popping up the hat. I was going to just put it on his head, but I felt like the celebration of the New Year required a tip of the hat! Just perfect!

I stamped the Snowy Wonder sentiment in Pebbled Path ink onto a 1″ square Basic White piece and popped it up with more Dimensionals.

I finished the snowy scene with a few Iridescent Pearls. Shiny and bright!
