Oh So Eclectic Emboss Resist Cards

Layering elements has never been more fun than with the Oh So Eclectic bundle! Today's cards use several of the stamps & die-cut elements to create a sweet, textured collage design.

Background Basics—I began randomly stamping the dotted image in Perfect Plum ink over the front of a Perfect Plum card base. I love these small dots that kind of look like little scribbled tulips.

Emboss Resist Flower—The eye-catching flower from the collage is created using the emboss resist technique…one of my all-time favorites!

Rub your White Card stock with the Embossing Buddy to remove static & finger oils.
Stamp the outline Oh So Eclectic flower image with VersaMark ink onto Whisper White card stock.
Sprinkle on White Embossing Powder, tap of excess.
Use Heat Tool to heat powder until glossy & smooth.
Stamp the solid Oh So Eclectic flower in Rich Razzleberry ink over the top of the embossed flower.
Blot off the resisted ink to bring out the white embossed lines.
Die-cut the flower shape with the coordinating Eclectic Layers Thinlits.

Collage Elements—The rest of the elements from the collage were also die-cut with the Eclectic Layers Thinlits. All of the elements were attached to the top a 2-1/2" x 4" piece of Whisper White. Here are details in the order I added them to the collage.

Die-cut the Gold Glimmer flower by running the inside flower thinlit and outside flower framelit through at the same time. Attach with a couple of Glue Dots.
Stamp the cross-hatched leaf in Pear Pizzazz ink and die-cut with the coordinating leaf framelit. Adhere with dabs of SNAIL or Multipurpose Glue.
Die-cut the small sprig from Pear Pizzazz card stock and adhere with a Glue Dot or Multipurpose Glue.
Pop up the embossed flower element over the top with Dimensionals.

Finishing Touches—I added a single Gold Faceted Gem at the bottom of the collage, then a couple of single Mini Sequins with a teeny tiny dab of Multipurpose Glue floating around the top and bottom of the collage.

Sweet Sentiment—I created a colorful foundation for my sentiment by adding some Berry Burst and Rich Razzleberry washi tape from the Basics Pack 1 assortment to the bottom of the focal point panel. I wrapped the tapes ends around the edges, then popped up the panel with Dimensionals. The Oh So Eclectic greeting was stamped in Perfect Plum onto Whisper White card stock, then die-cut with the oval framelit from the Coffee Cups Framelits and pop up with Dimensionals. That little oval die-cut sure comes in handy!

Two Cool—I love this teal blue version! I stamped the background with the mini plus sign dots in Island Indigo onto an Island Indigo card base.

This time I stamped a Bermuda Bay solid flower image over the white embossed outline flower. Other than that, all of the collage elements are exactly the same.
