Soft Seedlines Maple Leaf Card #1 Dawn Olchefske created this simple & stunning Soft Seedlings card. It's perfect for fall!
Background Basics—Dawn started by embossing a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Soft Suede cardstock with the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it to a Very Vanilla Thick card base. .
Maple Leaf—Dawn inked up the Soft Seedlings leaf image with Cajun Craze ink, the used Sponge Daubers to add some Soft Suede ink to the edges of the stamp. She stamped the image onto a Very Vanilla Stylish Shapes circle, trimming the edge to be flush with the background embossed layer. It's adhered with SEAL Adhesive.
Sweet Sentiment—She stamped the Soft Seedlings sentiment in Soft Suede ink onto a Cajun Craze Stylish Shapes banner die-cut and popped it up with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—Dawn finished up with a couple of Rustic Metallic Dots. I love how perfectly they coordinate with Soft Suede! Beautiful!
Soft Seedlings Maple Leaf Card #2
Karin Braxton created this colorful autumn card using a fun "old-timers" technique!
Background Basics—Karin began by adhering two 1" x 4-1/4" strips of Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper and one 1" x 4-1/4" strip of Metallic & Shimmer Specialty Paper to a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Basic White. That is layered onto a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Cajun Craze, then mounted onto an Evening Evergreen card base. She finished the background with one more 4-1/4" x 1" strip of Metallic & Shimmer paper across the center.
Maple Leaf—Karin used one of those oldie-but-goodie techniques—the Baby Wipe Technique! She folded a few layers of baby wipes in quarters, then dripped on some different colors of refill inks to create a makeshift multicolor ink pad. Looks like she used Mossy Meadow, Evening Evergreen, Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry re-inkers. This is a fun way to stamp a whole stack of focal points for creating many cards!
She stamped the Soft Seedlings image on the inked baby wipe, then onto a 2-1/2" x 3" piece of Basic White cardstock, then layered it onto a 2-5/8" x 3-1/8" piece of Cajun Craze. It's popped up onto the card front with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—Karin finished by adding a couple of gold Brushed Metallic Dots next to the leaf. Loveliness!
Inside The Card—I love the way Karin finished the inside of the card with a simple helicopter seedling and sentiment in Cajun Craze ink.
