Special Delivery Corner Pop-Up Gift Card Holder

I give several gift cards during the holidays and I love to dress them up a little to make the gift a little more personal, so I'm always looking for new styles of holders. This season, I found an adorable little gift card holder with a unique pop-up feature online courtesy of LIsa Curcio at Lisa's Stamp Studio. Corner Pop-Up Card Base—Start with an 8" x 8" piece of Whisper White card stock. Score at the 4" mark in both directions. Score again diagonally from corner to corner in one direction.

Fold on the two perpendicular lines, then flip the card stock over and fold on the diagonal line.

Fold in half on one of the perpendicular lines so that one of the diagonal corners is at the bottom, as shown. Add Tear & Tape adhesive on the left triangle and adhere to create the base.

Add a strip of Tear & Tape along the inside bottom to adhere the top of the pocket. You want to have as much room as possible to fit a gift card on this pocket, so the tape needs to be thin. I only adhered half the width of the tape, then folded the excess over on top of itself.

Finally, add Tear & Tape on the top triangle, leaving room along the left and top edges that will show once the decorative layer is added.

Decorating The Holder—I used the Quilted Christmas 6×6" Designer Series Paper to decorate the gift card holder. Here are the measurements:

3-1/2" x 3-1/2" Real Red star DSP
3-3/4" x 3-3/4" Garden Green card stock mat adhere to Tear & Tape only on the back panel.
3-3/4" x 3-3/4" Real Red stitched DSP on left panel.
3-3/4" x 3-3/4" Garden Green stitched DSP cut diagonally and adhered to the triangle pocket panels.
3-1/2" x 3-1/2" Whisper White message card to tuck into the pocket. I stamped the "for you" from the Merry Little Labels stamp set in Real Red. Attach the gift card onto this piece, or tuck it behind the message card.

Cover Décor—The front is decorated with a 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" red gingham Quilted Christmas DSP adhered to a 3-3/4" x 3-3/4" piece Garden Green and mounted on the holder with Tear & Tape. I stamped the Merry Little Labels sentiment in Real Red ink and die-cut it with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. It's popped up with Dimensionals onto a Garden Green scalloped oval cut with the Layering Ovals Framelits, then adhered to the front.

Finishing Touches—I added a Quilted Christmas Ribbon bow with a Glue Dot, then accented the bottom with a couple Pearl Jewels.

Two Cool—My second version is actually a direct CASE from Lisa Curcio. I loved her classy version with the Merry Little Christmas Designer Paper! I trimmed the sentiment oval with some Black Shimmer Ribbon and a couple of Black Rhinestone Jewels.

The Merry Little Christmas DSP looks fantastic on the inside panels, too! Classy and festive! This gift card holder even fits into a standard A2 envelope!
