It's been like Santa's Workshop in my studio this week as I finish up projects for my first craft fair of the season this Saturday! If you're in the Fort Wayne, IN, area I'd love for you to stop by my booth at the Holly Days Craft Fair. It's 9am – 3pm at Deer Ridge Elementary on Scott Rd. My booth is located in the cafetorium, on the corner across from the hospitality booth and silent auction tables.
I'll be selling super-cute treat holders, stocking stuffers, gift card holders and greeting cards that make perfect gifts for friends, co-workers, teachers, babysitters, neighbors and more! I take orders for larger quantities and will accept credit cards. Hope to see you at this fair or one of my other upcoming shows listed below.
Today, I'm sharing one of the projects I'll be selling at the craft fair…the hot cocoa pouch!

Spirited Snowman Hot Cocoa Pouches
Hot Cocoa Pouch Basics—This Early Espresso pouch is created with just a half-sheet of card stock, 5-1/2" x 8-1/2". I scored it at the 4-1/4" mark, just like a card, then trimmed off the corner on the diagonal. For an easy and consistent diagonal cut, I lined up the top of the score line and the bottom right corner on the 1" mark on my trimmer. I adhered the bottom only of the pouch with Tear & Tape Adhesive, leaving the side loose to accommodate the thickness of the cocoa packet.
Next, I adhered a 4-1/4" x 1-1/4" strip of a Mint Macaron pattern Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper along the bottom. I used the slot punch side on the Detailed Trio Punch to create a hole for the Tranquil Tide Mini Ruffled Ribbon, and tied it into a pretty bow.
Spirited Snowman—I stamped the Spirited Snowman image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White, then colored the image with Stampin' Blends Markers. I lightly added some Pool Party to the snowman body and colored the arms and legs with the Bronze marker. His winter weather garb is colored with Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay and Real Red colors.
After coloring, I die-cut the image with a 2-3/8" Layering Circles Framelit. It's layered onto a 2-7/8" Tranquil Tide scalloped circle die-cut from the same framelits. I popped up the layers with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—I die-cut some Mint Macaron snowflakes using the Blizzard Thinlits die and attached 3 sizes of them around the focal point with Glue Dots. I topped each snowflake with a Rhinestone Jewel for a little snowy sparkle!
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped a Spririted Snowman greeting in Memento Black onto a 2-1/4" x 1/2" strip of Whisper White, fishtail cut the ends and popped it up with Dimensionals. Could the phrase be more fitting for a cocoa treat?! I don't think so!
Two Cool—I did a second version using Cherry Cobbler for the pouch and a different pattern from Floral Frost DSP for the background accent.
This time, it's tied with some White/Silver Metallic-Edge Ribbon…so pretty!
Spirited Snowman—This snowman was colored with Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Bermuda Bay Blends markers and he's adhered to a Soft Suede scallop circle. The snowflake die-cuts are in Whisper White. So festive!
2017 Hot Cocoa Pouches—I created similar pouches for a commission last year using the cute & retired Hug In A Mug stamp set. I still have that set available, so I could make this style of cocoa pouches for YOU this holiday season. Contact me today to place your order!
See last year's Hot Cocoa Pouches blog post for details on these versions.
