I don't know why it's taken me so long to try out the new Buffalo Check background stamp! I absolutely LOVE it! Now I want to use it on everything! I adore how it looks combined with the Spirited Snowman images!
Background Basics—I started by embossing a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Whisper White cardstock with the Blizzard Thinlits die using the Embossing Plates. I layered that onto a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Balmy Blue cardstock.

Sentiment—I stamped the 3-7/8" x 2-1/4" Whisper White piece with the Buffalo Check background stamp using Balmy Blue ink. TIP: Ink the stamp, and position it ink-side-up on the table, then lay the cardstock on the rubber and burnish with your fingers for a clean transfer. I added a Spirited Snowman sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I mounted this layer onto the background, then wrapped some Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon around the layers, securing the ends on the back. All of the layers were then mounted onto a Whisper White Thick card base.

Spirited Snowman—I stamped the Spirited Snowman onto a large Stitched Shapes circle die-cut with Memento Black ink. Next, I colored the snowman with a variety of Stampin' Blends Markers: Pool Party for the snowman shading and skates, Bronze for the arms and buttons, Smoky Slate for the skates and ground, Cherry Cobbler on the hat, Pumpkin Pie for the nose. I used the Balmy Blue Stampin' Write Marker for the blue on the hat. The circle is mounted onto a Layering Circles Balmy Blue scallop circle, then popped up with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—I added a single Sparkle Glimmer snowflake created with the Blizzard Thinlits die and topped it with a large Rhinestone Jewel. I added a couple additional Rhinestones around the top of the card, too.
