Hi Stamping Friends!
I got off to a late start today because my Lucky dogger had a horrible seizure this morning and, although he seems OK, he's been upset about it all day. He's finally fallen asleep from exhaustion, so hopefully he'll feel more like himself when he gets up. It finally gave me a chance to play! But first…

I'm really loving the new Garden In Bloom stamp set! The line-art images reminded me of a sponged emboss resist technique that I did 3 years ago with the old Flower Fest stamp set: Sponged Resist Flower Fest. Do you remember this one?
I couldn't wait to try out that technique with this fantastic new Garden In Bloom set…
Oh my! Talk about fun! Get out your sponge daubers and get ready for a super quick & pretty card!
Embossed Flowers—I started by stamping the Garden In Bloom outlined flower image in VersaMark ink all over a piece of 3-3/4" x 5" Pool Party card stock. TIP: For even spacing, stamp the images across the card stock diagonally, then fill in the outer edges following the same diagonal slant.
Sprinkle White Embossing Powder over your stamped images, tap off the excess and heat with a Heat Tool until glossy & smooth. TIP: I like to rub my card stock with an Embossing Buddy pad before stamping to eliminate static and finger oils that may cause embossing powder to stick.
Sponge Resist—Next, I used a Sponge Dauber to gently rub on Pool Party ink over each flower. I started in the center of the blossom, working in small circles, then worked outward on each petal. No need to stay inside the lines. Intentionally going outside the lines is part of the technique and really highlights the white embossed line!
For a little more contrast, I added some darker, Island Indigo ink with a Sponge Dauber to the centers. It really makes the flowers pop! Rub over your designs with a tissue to remove any excess ink residue.
Background Basics—I matted the stamped layer onto a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Island Indigo and popped up the layer with Dimensionals onto a Whisper White card base.
Sweet Sentiment—I added a simple Birthday Blossoms sentiment in Island Indigo ink to a 3/4" wide, 3-1/2" long strip of Whisper White. The end is fish-tailed with the new Banner Triple Punch and it's popped up with Dimensionals.
Two Cool—Of course, I had to try the technique on a few more colors!
This one was created with Wisteria Wonder card stock, with Wisteria Wonder on the flowers and Elegant Eggplant on the flower centers. The mat and sentiment are also Elegant Eggplant.
Three Cool—How about a pink one?
It's Pink Pirouette card stock with Blushing Bride ink sponged on the flowers and Melon Mambo on the centers. The mat and sentiment are in Melon Mambo.
Four Cool—If the centers were a little darker, these would remind me if Black-Eyed Susans!
I used So Saffron card stock with Daffodil Delight ink sponged on the flowers and Delightful Dijon on the centers. The mat and sentiment are in Delightful Dijon.
Five Cool—My last version was in elegant, neutral colors.
I started with Tip Top Taupe card stock with Tip Top Taupe ink sponged on the flowers and Early Espresso on the centers. The mat and sentiment are in Early Espresso.

Have fun with it, Tracy! I just used this same technique with the small flower in the new Birthday Blooms set.
