Darla Eigenschink used the Pleasant Poppies background stamp and a fun spotlighting technique on the card she brought to our Demo Shoebox Swap last Monday. Take a look…
Here are Two Cool versions of her design, each with a pretty colored focal point on a black & white background mounted on a Primrose Petals card base.
We stamped the Pleasant Poppies image in Basic Black onto the background, then again onto a large scrap piece. Using the 2-1/2" Circle Punch, we selected the part of the image that we wanted to spotlight and punched.
The spotlight circle was colored with Ink Pads and Blender Pens (smoosh the pad before opening to get color on the lid…that's your palette). The finished circle is popped up with Dimensionals.
The card is finished off with a strip of Basic Black Scallop Polka Dot Ribbon across the bottom. The Teeny Tiny Wishes sentiment is stamped in Primrose Petals, then double-punched with the Word Window Punch to make the window shorter. It's layered on a double-punched Decorative Label Punch layer in Gumball Green card stock.
