Hi Stamping Friends!
I've been having so much fun with the Springtime Foils Designer Series Papers ever since they've become available as a 2nd Release Sale-a-Bration item! These heavyweight, foil-patterned sheets look fantastic on their own, but they become even more amazing when you add some color! I've already shared how you can color in the florals with Stampin' Blends Markers in this post: Springtime Foils Colored With Blends.
Today, I'm sharing two cards featuring these papers colored directly with ink pads! You'll be able to choose and and create a card in your favorite color at my "Last Thursdays" card class.
"Last Thursdays" Re-Scheduled For March 1—I'm moving my local "Last Thursdays" monthly card class to Thursday, March 1, 6:30pm. As always, we'll create 4 cards for $15 or the class is FREE when you place a minimum order at the event. I'll show card samples when they are ready. Register Here if you'd like to attend.
Inked & Elegant Springtime Foils Cards
Inked Foils—I added ink to a 4-1/4" x 3" piece of the floral Springtime Foils by swiping the Dapper Denim Classic Ink Pad directly over the paper. I swiped and smeared the ink over the entire piece, holding it in place with a tissue to keep my fingers clean, then used that tissue to wipe off the extra ink. It leaves the paper a little lighter than the actual color, but the beautiful rose gold and gold foil patterns shine through!
Finishing Touches—I tied some 1/4" Copper Trim around the card front, leaving the ends long and flowing. Oooh, I love that look! Next, I stamped the Heartfelt Blooms greeting in VersaMark ink onto Dapper Denim cardstock scrap, then sprinkled with Copper Embossing Powder and heat-set it with a Heat Tool. I punched it out with the Tailored Tag Punch. I punched a second Basic Black Tailored Tag shape, cut it in half length-wise and repositioned it peeking out from the top and bottom of the sentiment. It's popped up with Dimensionals over the trim ribbon. I finished with a single Dapper Denim Glitter Enamel Shape.
Two Cool—For my second card, I inked the Springtime Foils pattern with Fresh Fig. I really love this color on the paper! It lightens to a deep berry color that is so rich!
Sweet Sentiment—This time, I stamped a Perennial Birthday greeting in VersaMark onto a 1" wide strip of Fresh Fig cardstock, then copper embossed it and trimmed the ends into fishtails. I popped it up over a 1/2" x 4" strip of Basic Black cardstock, also fishtailed on the ends. The Berry Burst Glitter Enamel Dot looks great with this color combination.
