Stamp Club Valentine’s Fun

Valentine's Day is only one month away…do you have your projects ready yet?  Here are some fun ideas that were shared at my Stamp Club event last week!

Club - carmen conversation heart box   Club - carmen conversation heart box open

Carmen DeBruce created the Valentine's treat box designed to hold a package of conversation hearts.  She use the I {Heart} Hearts stamp set.  See the Conversation Hearts Box Tutorial by Patty Cheske for complete instructions.

Club - kathy bliss heart

Kathy Kolb created this beautiful card with a red glittery heart that looks like it's hanging from the doodled flourish!  So pretty!  The stamp around the heart is from Simply Said

Carmen also created this fun spinning card.  The owl slides and twirls along the groove.  Learn how to create this fun card (kids really love it!) at Angie Juda's Chic 'n Scratch blog: Owl Spinner Card Tutorial.

Club - carmen ribbon heart

The heart on this one is made of layered grosgrain ribbon.  Carmen used a tutorial from Lynn Pratt, called Ribbon Weave Christmas Tree, as her inspiration.  It's a very cool technique!

Club - peggy laminated hearts   Club - peggy laminated hearts open

Peggy Tassler tried something new by creating a tri-folded card with a laminated layer.  The punched hearts are adhered between laminating film that's attached to the left gate fold to make a full-size, half-clear card front.  I love how you can see the striped paper through the lamination.  What a Too Cool idea, Peggy!

Club - peggy vintage vogue hearts

Peggy also created this pretty card by white embossing the vine image from the Vintage Vogue stamp set.  The punched hearts are also stamped in Pink Pirouette with the Bella Toile background stamp.  And look at those lovely corners, punched with the Scallop Trim Corner Punch.  Very nice!

Peggy's card is a wonderful example of how you don't need to have an official Valentine's set to create a gorgeous card for your loved one.  The Vintage Vogue set works beautifully here, as do so many other non-traditional images.  What stamp sets will you be using for your Valentine's projects?

  1. I’ve finally been able to post on your blog! Yay!!! I have really enjoyed the ideas that have been shared. I’m kind of a lazy card maker and I always want to take the time to create some fun gifties for friends for different holidays but never do it. I’m going to try extra hard this year and I’m going to start with making some cute Valentine gifts for my friends.
