You can never have enough birthday cards…am I right?!  As many cards as I create, I always seem to be running low on the birthday variety.

Let's Stock Up!  This month's Stamper Sampler Class is your chance to stock up on your birthday card inventory by stamping a whole stack in a variety of colors and styles! 

Stamper Sampler Class—Birthday Card Stamp-A-Stack

Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at 6:30pm.

Join us as we create 12 birthday cards, 3 each of 4 different styles! 

• When—Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at 6:30 pm.
• Where—Too Cool Stamping Studio in SW Fort Wayne, IN.
• What—Create 12 birthday cards with envelopes.

Let's take a closer look at the first card design from the Birthday Card Stamp-A-Stack Class! 

Stamp-A-Stack #1: Sketched Birthday Bash—It's kind of crazy making three of a card instead of two!  Do you see the difference between the cards in this photo?  No?  That's because I made them all identical…also strange for me!  I just really liked the card the way it was, so why mess with it?

Background Basics—I started this design with a Whisper White card base, then added two 3/4" x 5-1/4" strips of Birthday Bash Designer Series Paper to the outer edges.

Polka Dot Window Layer—I die-cut a circle from a 3" x 5-1/4" piece of Bermuda Bay card stock with the Circles Collection Framelits, then I ran it through the Big Shot with the Polka Dot embossing folder. 

Scallop Border—I used the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch to create two 5-1/4" long borders for the Bermuda Bay piece.  You know those gazillion strips of Whisper White you always have leftover after cutting card pieces?  Save them!  They work great for these skinny white punched elements! 

Recessed Window—Before popping the entire window layer with Dimensionals, I positioned it in place and stamped my image through the window and onto the the card front.  Only after I was done coloring and glitzing that image did I adhere the window layer.

Sketched Birthday Cake—I stamped my Sketched Birthday cake image through the window in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then colored it with a Blender Pen and Ink Pads. I used Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral and Crushed Curry inks.  TIP: Squeeze the ink pad before opening to get some ink on the lid, then pick up the color with the pen and "paint" with it. 

Glitz It Up—I added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter with the help of the 2-Way Glue Pen onto the icing and candle flame.  Once the excess glitter was tapped off, I adhered the Bermuda Bay window layer.

Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the greeting from Sketched Birthday in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto some scrap Whisper White card stock and colored it in with Pear Pizzazz ink using the Blender Pen. 

After I die-cut the image with the Bitty Banners Framelits, I outlined the banner with the 2-Way Glue Pen and added some Dazzling Diamonds to that, as well.  It's adhered to the card with SNAIL.
