Stockings, Stockings & More Stockings!

Remember my Stitched Stockings Trio Holiday Mini Catalog sneak peek last month…?

Stocking sneak peak

It featured 6 new products from the Holiday Mini Catalog: Stitched Stockings stamp set, Stocking Builder Punch, Silver Glimmer Paper, Cherry Cobbler Quilted Ribbon, Hand-Penned Holidays, and Pewter Embossing Powder

Well, for tonight's Stamp Club, I'm giving my stampers the chance to play with the new stocking stuff by creating a version of this card.  The twist is that they can choose the color of card stock base, stamp the stockings any color they want, and select the coordinating accessories they like.

It's going to be like a Stocking Builder Buffet!

To get their creative juices flowing, I created Four Cool cards in non-traditional colors to highlight some of the variations that could be done.  Let's take a look!

Stitched Stocking Trio – Concord

I had to make me a purple stocking card first!  Concord Crush base with stockings in Rich Razzleberry, Wisteria Wonder and Concord Crush (colored with Markers).  I love the look of the Silver Glimmer Paper with blues and purples—very wintery!  I added Mini Jingle Bells with Mini Glue Dots.  Sentiment is from Hand-Penned Holidays, embossed with Pewter Embossing Powder.

Coloring Glimmer Paper—See the center stocking?  The Silver Glimmer Paper on the heel, toe and cuff has been colored with a Rich Razzleberry marker!  TIPS: Use the brush tip end and color only in one direction, so you don't fray your marker tip on the rough surface of the paper.  Allow the ink to dry, or heat-set with a Heat Tool to avoid smearing.

Stitched Stocking Trio – Razzleberry

I couldn't stop with only one purple card!  This one features a Rich Razzleberry base, with stockings colored in Rich Razzleberry, Concord Crush and Wisteria Wonder again.  The Silver Glimmer Paper is colored with Concord Crush this time.  I used a sentiment from the Christmas Lodge stamp set, and the White Baker's Twine bows and Organza Ribbon add the finishing touches.

Stitched Stocking Trio – Indigo

Baja Breeze and Island Indigo were also appealing to me for a wintery look.  This time I added some retired, snowy-looking tinsel, and Rhinestone Jewels for embellishments.  The sentiment is from the new Warmest of Wishes Hostess Set from the Holiday Mini.

Stitched Stocking Trio – Navy

This card really has the blues!  Night of Navy card base with stockings in Island Indigo, Pacific Point, and Baja Breeze.  The stocking hanger tabs are 1/8" Marina Mist Taffeta Ribbon, and the card is tied with the Island Indigo Ruffled Ribbon.  The Glimmer Paper is colored with Pacific Point.

It's just too much fun mixing & matching stocking combinations!  Somebody stop me!  Can't wait to see with combinations the girls come up with tonight!
