3 Cool Ways To Use Stylish Stems Framelits—The Stylish Stems Framelits may look like just another flower die set, but this one has something special! It's designed to offer 3 Cool ways to die-cut the flowers & leaves, giving you more creative flexibility than ever before!

#1 Cut Negative Images—Use the intricate flower die to cut out a negative images for a cool peek-thru or recessed look like the card I'm sharing today below!

#2 Cut Outlined Shapes—Run the die-cut negative image through the Big Shot again with the outline framelit to have the full intricate shape cut out, like the intricately cut Calypso Coral flower or Pear Pizzazz leaf shown above!

#3 Cut Solid Shapes—Use the outline framelit the traditional way to cut out the stamped shapes easily.

Stylish Stems Good Friend Recessed Flower Cards

For today's cards, I wanted to try out the new "negative image" dies from the Stylish Stems! I love the look of recessed accents on a card, so I was so excited that these framelits make it EASY!

Background Basics—I started by embossing a 5-1/2" x 2" strip of Sahara Sand card stock with the Seaside Texture Impressions Folder. I adhered it with SNAIL to a Blushing Bride card base.

Die Cut Flower Layer—I die cut the recessed flower shape with the Stylish Stems intricate flower die on the top of a 3" x 4-1/4" piece of Very Vanilla card stock. The Die Brush makes removing all those little pieces quick & easy!

Next, I stamped the Special Reason sentiment along the bottom of that die-cut layer in Tip Top Taupe. I wrapped the piece with gold Metallic Ribbon from the exclusive Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack from the Sale-a-Bration flyer. You can earn the ribbon for FREE with a $50 purchase thru March 31, 2017.

Recessed Flower—I adhered a 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" Tip Top Taupe layer to the card front to create a foundation for the recessed flower. I wanted some pretty paper to show through the flower, so I added a 2-3/4" square piece of the beautiful bokeh patterned paper from the Falling In Love Designer Series Paper pack. I finished by popping up the die-cut layer with lots of Dimensionals.

Two Cool—The second version just has a slightly different color combination. I started with a Tip Top Taupe card base, then added the Sahara Sand embossed layer with the debossed side featured. The recessed background layer is in Blushing Bride this time. Either way is so sweet!
