Hi Stamping Friends!

It's Sunday Showcase time!   Let's take a look at some awesome card ideas from my Too Cool Team!

Sheryl - awesome thanks copy

Created by Sheryl Lemieux.  Colors: Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango & Whisper White.

#1—I'm really loving recessed windows on cards right now, so I enjoyed this layered card from Sheryl Lemieux.

Sheryl - awesome thanks 2 copy

She die-cut an Ovals Collection Framelits window and popped it up with Dimensionals over some retired Tangerine Tango paper.  The Yippee Skippee (wood) sentiment is stamped onto a Decorative Label Punch element.  The sentiment is matted on another Decorative Label shape that's been cut in half and repositioned to peek out of each side, then it's all popped up with Dimensionals, too.

Also features: Large Polka Dot Texture Impressions Folder & Tangerine Tango Baker's Twine.

Peggy - perfect blend 1 copy

Created by Peggy Tassler.  Colors: Crumb Cake, Coastal Cabana, Basic Black & Whisper White.

#2—You can't go wrong with the Perfect Blend (wood) stamp set.  I don't even like coffee, but I sure love cards made with this trendy set!  I love Peggy's use of the Stacked With Love Washi Tape in combination with the Basic Black Baker's Twine.  And, it's a MUST to paper-piece the coffee cup!  She stamped on Crumb Cake and Coastal Cabana DSP from the In Color DSP Paper Stack, then hand-cut the pieces to create a mult-colored cup.

Also features: Gorgeous Grunge (wood)

Michelle - lotus blackberry copy

Created by Michelle Hoover at Hoover's Dam Stamping.  Colors: Blackberry Bliss, Perfect Plum, Wisteria Wonder, Old Olive & Whisper White.

#3—The Lotus Blossom stamp set has already been a popular Sale-A-Bration choice—it's absolutely gorgeous!  Michelle stamped it here in three colors of purple: Blackberry Bliss, Perfect Plum and Wisteria Wonder.  Then, she created coordinating decorative paper by sponging Blackberry Bliss onto a sheet of the Simply Irresistable Specialty Designer Series Paper, also a Sale-A-Bration choice.  The images are so stunning that you don't even need many layers or embellishments for an elegant card.

TIP: This three-step stamp image can be a little tricky if you've never used it before, but it's really easy with a little bit of instruction.  Check out the Lotus Blossom Video below and you'll be a Lotus Blossom pro in no time!

Rita - bitty butterfly trio thanks copy

Created by Rita Berning, designed by Kathe Madsen.  Colors: Real Red & Whisper White.

#4—Rita created this quick & cute card using the Note Cards With Envelopes.  The top Whisper White layer is punched with the Bitty Butterfly Punch, then layered over Real Red card stock for another recessed look!  She finished it off with an Another Thank You sentiment and Rhinestone Jewels.

Peggy - thx copy

Created by Peggy Tassler.  Colors: Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey, Basic Gray, Sahara Sand & Whisper White.

#5—Have you seen the fun and versatile alphabet set called What's Your Type?  It's a bunch of shapes that can be combined to create all the letters of the alphabet and MUCH more like a sail boat, ice cream cone, or fun, geometrical backgrounds!  Peggy used the shapes to make a delightful thank you card on a  Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack background.  Very nice!

Michelle - bokeh vellum balloons valder jkcards copy

Created by Michelle Hoover at Hoover's Dam Stamping.  CASEd from Deb Valder at Stamping & Scrapbooking and Justin Krieger at JKCards. Colors: Night of Navy, Aquamarine, Rose Coral,  Yellow Citrus & Whisper White.

#6—Michelle tried out the Bokeh Technique that is all the rage right now…isn't it Too Cool?!  The background is created using a Window Sheet punched with large circles as a stencil for sponging on White Craft Ink.  Then, she used a Sponge Dauber to add the three ColorBox Chalk Ink Pad colors in the Occasions Catalog: Aquamarine, Rose Coral and Yellow Citrus.  She White Embossed some Celebrate Today images onto Vellum card stock and punched them with the Balloon Framelits

Deb Valder at Stamping & Scrapbooking has a helpful video on the Bokeh Technique.
