Sunday Showcase: Cool Cards By My Team

Hi Stamping Friends!

My Too Cool Demo Team always shares some fabulous cards at our team meetings and today's post features some of those amazing projects!

Kathe - flower garden copy

Created by Kathe Madsen.  Colors:Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Always Artichoke.

Kathe used the beautiful Flower Garden Embossing Folder and some accent sponging to create this stunning card.  Sentiment is from the retired Bloomin' Marvelous Sale-A-Bration set.

Carmen - umbrellas copy

Created by Carmen DeBruce.  Colors: Melon Mambo, Marina Mist, Old Olive.

Magritte.bigIf you were lucking enough to get the Rain or Shine stamp set, Cloudy Day Embossing Folder, and Sunshine & Sprinkles DSP while they were available in the Spring Catalog, then you can still make this card.  It reminds me of a René Magritte painting!

My favorite part is how Carmen sponged on White Craft Ink inside the embossed clouds to make them white and fluffy-looking!  Also features: Scallop Edge Border Punch.

Jodi - hexagon cat case copy

Created by Jodi Geers at Polka Dot StamperColors: Marina Mist, Gumball Green, Basic Gray.

One of my challenges at the team meeting was to CASE a card from the new Annual Catalog.  Jodi chose the card design on page 125 featuring the Six-Sided Sampler (wood) stamps set and Hexagon Punch

For the circle sentiment element, stamp the hexagon outline, punch the 1/2" circle from the center, then punch with the Hexagon Punch.

Darla - papa card front copy
Darla - papa card inside copy

Created by Darla Eigenschink at stampgrl.stampinup.net.  Colors: Early Espresso, Night of Navy, Whisper White.

Darla had fun CASEing Dawn Olchefske's Window Sheet Name Pop-Up card, too!  She used the greeting from Delightful Dozen (wood) for the focal point, and retired Well Worn DSP for the inside. Also features: Window Sheets, Typeset Alphabet Dies, and Vintage Trinkets.

More information on this card design on my Dad's Day Pop-Up Card post.

Kathe - daydream medallions copy

Created by Kathe Madsen.  Colors: Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe.

Kathe participated in our catalog CASE challenge, too.  She was inspired by the project on page 114 using the Daydream Medallions (wood) stamp set.  Stamp each of the layers separately, then cut them out easily with the coordinating Floral Frames Framelits!  The card front actually has a window cut out for the floral flourishes to show through.  What a fun design!

Also features: Blooming With Kindness (wood) for sentiment, Vintage Faceted Buttons.

Darla - this that hexagon copy
Darla - this that hexagon 2 copy

Created by Darla Eigenschink at stampgrl.stampinup.net.  Colors: Smoky Slate, Gumball Green, Calypso Coral, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake.

Darla featued the new Epic Day This and That Designer Papers and Epic Day This and That Washi Tape on this Father's Day card.  If you look closely, you can see she textured the paper with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder.  She also accented her Delightful Dozen (wood) sentiment with some Smoky Slate Candy Dots. Great texture and details!

Also features: Calypso Coral Baker's Twine, and Decorative Label Punch.

Carmen - poppies popups copy

Created by Carmen DeBruce. Colors: Crumb Cake, Pretty In Pink (retired), Regal Rose (retired) Very Vanilla.

I love the design of this pretty card from Carmen!  She stamped the Pleasant Poppies (wood) image over the First Edition DSP (now retired) and popped up the flowers and buds for a cool dimensional look.  Even though that designer paper is gone, you could use the new Dictionary (wood) background stamp to create a similar look.

I also love her use of Pearl Jewels on the flower stems.  Very nice!
