Hi Stamping Friends!

Founders circle logoI spent a lot of time yesterday going through all of my photos from my Founder's Circle trip in St. George, UT.  I can't even begin to tell you how absolutely AMAZING it was to attend this retreat for the first and last time.  I can see why those who have earned this trip in the past did their damnedest to get into the Top 100 every year for the opportunity to have this experience!

And, I'm truly in awe of Stampin' Up! and everyone who was involved in planning and organizing all of the wonderful details that pampered and spoiled us!  I truly felt like a VIP!  I love this company!!!!!

Founder's Circle Highlights…Day 1

Bus from the LV airport

Tami White takes our bus ride selfie!  Left side of the bus: Nancy Lewis, Lee Conrey, Darla Roberts, Christi Beck & Mindy Gray.  Right side: Phyllis Shepherd, Tamra Davis, Jodi Reinert, Angie Leach, Lyssa Zwolanek, Ann Schach & Linda Gutierrez.

Even The Getting There Was Fun—From the moment I arrived at the Las Vegas airport, I knew that this was going to be a trip of a lifetime!  I was met by someone from Stampin' Up! immediately and she helped me get my baggage and find the rest of the group who I'd be traveling with to St. George.  We had a two-hour bus ride through the beautiful scenery and I enjoyed meeting and chatting with everyone around me.

Last Splash hotel sign

Darla Roberts enters the hotel as Ben, the videographer, gets ready to capture our arrivals!

It's The Last Splash—The Courtyard by Marriott had a big "Last Splash" banner, our theme for this final Founder's Circle trip.

Name on door

Personalized Welcome—We each got our own hotel room and had our names on the door.  I just love this personalized touch!  When I opened up the door, my baggage was already there waiting for me!

Candy Buffet

Gathering Place Goodies—Next, I checked out the Gathering Place, which is a common area where we can go to hang out and chat with everyone.  It was open all day and featured a Candy Buffet with little bags that we could fill up as much as we wanted.  Yummy!

Darling Details—Each of the candy containers had a different & cute, stamped label on it.  I loved all of their attention to details!

Flowers & samples 1

Flowers & Samples—There were gorgeous pink & purple fresh flower arrangements all over the Gathering Place and hotel lobby.  I think someone counted 17 of them!  And, they had dozens of samples from the Annual Catalog on display, so we could see them up close.

Bbq dinner tables

Poolside Dinner Party—Out by the pool, the tables were all dressed up for our Pool Party & BBQ later that evening.  I loved the hanging lights and lanterns!

Fruit Punches—We were assigned to tables and ours was the Fruit Punches!  We played a little ice-breaker game to get to know one another.

Masterpiece 001

Masterpiece Place Card—We each had a little painted work of art at our place setting.  A fun keepsake!

Bbq buffet

BBQ Buffet—For dinner, we enjoyed a full BBQ buffet. Yummy

That cake

That Cake!—The chocolate cake in the middle of the table was huge, beautiful and delicious!

First-Timers—That night we had a First-Timers meeting to welcome us and share what we did this year to propel us into the Top 100.  Shout-out to all my First-Timer friends!

Sara Douglass & Angie - day 1

Selfie With Sara—One of my favorite parts of the trip was being able to chat with several members of the Stampin' Up! corporate team.  With Shelli Gardner away on a mission in Hawaii, her daughter Sara Douglass, the interim CEO, was our hostess and made us all feel welcomed and loved!

Pillow gift night 1 - new products

First Pillow Gift—Each night we received a little surprise gift on our beds.  The first night was sneak peek goodies from the upcoming Occasions Catalog, including a package of Designer Series Paper, a stamp set and a new little tool that will add shimmer to stamped artwork!  EEEEeeeee!

Pillow gift night 1 - new products tag

Gift Tags—Each of our pillow gifts came in a bright cloth pouch with a cute die-cut tag, and tied closed with our In Color cotton ribbon.

Founder's Circle Highlights…Day 2

Zion National Park—A group of us traveled to Zion National Park for the day.  It was a 45-minute shuttle, which gave us lots of time to laugh & chat!

God's Country—Ann Schach, Eldonna Epp and I hiked the trails together, taking in the beautiful scenery and watching the very tame squirrels.

Lyssa coordinating treats for Kanab workers

Treats For Kanab—Later that afternoon, we stopped by the Gathering Place to help fill treat bags to give to the workers at the Stampin' Up! Kanab manufacturing plant.  Thanks so much to Lyssa Zwolanek for coordinating the efforts!

Appreciation banner kanab

Thank You Banner—Tamra Davis created a banner for all of us to sign to give to the Kanab workers the next day.

Special daily treats

Jackie Bultje & Dawn Olchefske enjoy some afternoon snacks.

Daily Treats—Every afternoon, they would have special treats in the Gathering Place!  This day we had a spread of cheeses, crackers and fruits.  On another day we could choose from a variety of smoothies.  My favorite was the huge sugar cookies with a bowl of cream cheese frosting and strawberries and other fresh fruits to add on top!  I think they think we enjoy being rewarded by yummy foods!  They're right!

Prizes

Phyllis Shepherd tosses a bean bag to win a daily prize.

Daily Prizes—Each day, we could go to the Gathering Place and toss a bean bag to win a prize!  I won Corrugated Card Stock, Delightful Dijon Dotted Lace Trim, Happy Haunting Washi Tape and Organza Ribbon.

Yearbook 001   Yearbook 002

Collecting Signatures—I spent a lot of time over the first couple days collecting signatures in our "Last Splash" yearbook!  I think I was the only one doing it, but it was a great way to meet everyone!  I was able to get everyone's signature, except possibly one from Deb Snyder…I still do not know if she was there or not!  Out of the Top 100 from the US and Top 20 from Canada, there were about 110 of us there.

The Warmest Welcome—One of the most important and surprising parts of this trip was how warmly everyone welcomed me and the other First-Timers!  I never felt out of place or uncomfortable for even a moment.  It felt so surreal to be able to chat & mingle with so many demonstrators that I've followed, respected and idolized throughout my 12 years with Stampin' Up!  People congratulated me, welcomed me, hugged me and went out of their way to make me feel like I belonged.  It was so awesome to be able to spend real time with this amazing group to share about our businesses and our lives!  I truly felt like I made instant friends and I feel forever bonded to them by this experience!  Thank you to all of my fellow Founder's Circle attendees!  Love & hugs to you all!

That's all for today!  I've got lots more tidbits to share with you from our Pajama Party & Swap Night, our trip to the Kanab manufacturing plant, much more!  Stay tuned for Part 2 of my Founder's Circle Highlights coming tomorrow!

I'd Love To Hear From You! Leave me a comment at the bottom of the page!
