Reason to smile card - SU 1

Created by Stampin' Up!

Simple and pretty!  I love the use of the small flower for a random pattern on the left side.  The sentiment, from Loving Thoughts, is stamped several times for a fading look that's dreamy!  Also features the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch and White Baker's Twine.

The Fancy Favor Die box is window-cut with the Labels Collections Framelits.  The flower is punched with the Scallop Circle Punch, then accented with a Brights Button and White Baker's Twine.  The sentiment from Petite Pairs.  What a cute treat idea that would be easy to duplicate!

Here's a lovely scrap page design of randomly stamped falling blossoms.  The Scallop Edge Border Punch, and simple white Neutrals Buttons with White Baker's Twine, add subtle texture and interest.

The bright, two-stepped stamping on this card really sparkles!  The entired stamped piece is covered with Dazzling Diamonds and layered on a Scallop Edge Border Punch edge!

I really like the trio of stemmed flowers here, but not as much as the tag!  She used the Word Window Punch, then added a fish-tail to it. Cute!

Only the bold images are used here with markers, along with some sponging on the edges, for a soft, almost watercolor look.  I like the Labels Collections Framelits and circle punches layering of the Petite Pairs sentiment. Also features the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch and Baja Breeze 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon.

Most cards I've seen with Reason To Smile are crisp and clean designs, but these images are perfect for a more vintage, layered look, too!  I love the combination of the stamps on First Edition Designer Series Paper, which is cut with the Two Tags Die.  And, the Antique Brads, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch edge and Crochet Trim give it a old Valentine feel.  Nice!

Oooh!  I'm diggin' the popped up blossoms busting out of the box!  Very eye-catching!

Truth be told, this is the card that inspired my Lacy & Lovely Layered Circles card.  This one is simply beautiful with the Island Indigo and Pool Party combination.  Love it!

Any of the flowers in this set will make beautiful backgrounds, but I'm really liking the stemmed flower for this!  These blooms are colored directly on the rubber with Markers for an easy, two-color image.

OK—Now we're getting into my favorite technique, emboss resist, which looks fantastic with the Reason To Smile stamps.  It's a fun alternative set for the technique I used on the cool Flower Fest White Embossing card that I loved so much.  This card reminds me of autumn with it's Fall-colored sunflowers and Woodgrain background.  I like the nice design element created with the Adorning Accents Edgelits and Impressions Folders, too!

More white embossing on Crumb Cake for another awesome background.  And, more emboss resist, this time coloring with markers on the flowers to match the Twitterpated Designer Paper.  Also featuring the Scallop Edge Border Punch, Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding and Antique Brads.

Such a pretty design with a color I rarely use…Basic Gray!  Makes me want to get my Neutrals Designer Paper Stack out!  More delightful two-stepped blooms (or three-stepped, if you count the flower center).  The In Color Designer Printed Brad makes a great accent on the popped up flower.  The same flower image is stamped in Lucky Limeade for the banner tail.  Petite Pairs is the go-to sentiment, once again!

This is SO elegant!  I love it, even though I don't think I could do it because I couldn't stop without adding something more.  It's actually a one-layer card!  The sentiment is stamped first, then two lines are drawn to create a border.  Jen used masking to create the illusion of the blooms peeking around the sentiment border.  Too Cool!
