I find SO MANY cool new ideas at Stampin' Up! events! Today's showcase features cards I saw at Leadership that use a variety of Big Shot dies in unique and unexpected ways!
Look past the bad lighting, the plastic card protectors, and the clothespins for some terrific die-cutting inspiration! Be sure to click to enlarge to see the details. And, if one of these fantastic cards is yours, let me know and I'll post it.
I love the vellum Beautiful Butterflies shape, outlined with Dazzling Diamonds glitter! Layered with the Pool Party butterfly, the Paper Daisy, an Itty Bitty flower punch and a Large Pearl Jewel, it is so soft and feminine! The layered look of the Labels Framelit on a piece of card stock that's cut and embossed with Adorning Accents Edgelits and Adorning Accents Impressions Folders, is also a little different than I've seen before. Other supplies: Attice Boutique DSP, Loving Thoughts set. Fabulous!
Take a close look at these pinwheel-style flowers…they are made of hearts from the Fashionable Hearts Embosslit! I also liked the Blushing Bride Label Framelit shape on the same color of Stripes embossed background. Created by Stampin' Up!
The beautiful Up In The Air hostess set looks delightful on the corner of one of the Labels Framelits cut-outs. It truly is "so sweet." Created by Stampin' Up!
The colorful Packed For Birthday is beautifully framed with the Labels Framelits die, and there is even an embossed edge around the window. Learn how to do Framelits embossing at my Texture Embossing With Hearts Framelits post. I'm assuming they embossed first, then die-cut. A fun look!
The Large Paper Doily Die makes a lovely accent around the He Is Risen window in this card! A circle was punched out of the card front to create the window, and then smaller circle was cut out of the Paper Doily, so you can see through some of the border design around the edge of the window. Cool!
Another pretty He Is Risen card with a simple and elegant Lattice Die Cross. I made a similar card last year with more information about how to create it: Lattice Cross With Gilded Roses.
The Designer Rosette Die was used to create a pretty Twitterpated Designer Series Paper skirt! The bodice is a Round Tab punch with a strand of Pearl Jewels along the neckline. I feel like I'm describing a gown on the Red Carpet!
Bring out your Stocking Die out of holiday storage! Try making some cute kids gym shoes! I love the Square Lattice Impressions Folder tread, the White Gel Pen stitching, and the silver eyelets for the laces and details! Brilliant!
And, of course, there is a girls version of the Stocking Die shoe…adorable Mary Janes complete with a Filigree Brad flower detail and Square Lattice Impressions Folder texture. The cute fold-down sock is scored with the Simply Score Tool and lined with a Dotted Scallop Ribbon border. Awwww!
Use the Adorning Accents Edgelits and Adorning Accents Impressions Folders combination to create an elegant column! It's a great way to showcase a gorgeous piece of stamped artwork like this one. The Bordering On Romance image is beautifully watercolored, then triple-embossed with Clear Embossing Powder for a Too Cool Cracked Glass Technique.
The decorative curves of the Labels Framelits and Adorning Accents Edgelits work in combination so beautifully! Try layering varying sizes in different directions for a stunning collaged background. The detail on this card is amazing! Calypso Coral Ruffled Ribbon rosettes with Victoria Crochet Trim! Itty Bitty flower punches with Rhinestone Jewels! Bird Punch leaves sparkling with Dazzling Diamonds! Gorgeous!
