Hi Stamping Friends!
It seems like every time I look at the Retiring Stamps & Retiring Accessories lists I find something new that I didn't realize was listed! I even marked them off on one of my catalogs, but I still I keep missing things! Could it be that I'm just in denial and don't want to let go? LOL!
For today's Sunday Showcase, I'm sharing some of the retiring items that are a little surprising to me, and certainly easy to overlook (because I did!). I don't want you to miss your last chance. They'll all be gone after June 3, 2013, or while supplies last for accessories, so don't wait any longer to order at my Online Store!
Most projects were previously featured, so click the link below the photo for complete details.
Lacy Brocade Texture Impressions Folder—I had assumed that this beautifully elegant embossing folder was a shoo-in for the new catalog, but I was wrong. It's listed on the Retired Accessories List and I was so disappointed when one of my team members pointed this out to me. How can this be?! #sadface
Holiday Ornaments Framelits—WHAT THE?!!!! I didn't see these in the new catalog, but I assumed that they would probably be featured in the upcoming Holiday Catalog. Nope, I realized that they too are on the Retired Accessories List. I can't believe that these are gone already! Does that mean that the Ornament Keepsakes stamps are gone, too? They haven't officially listed them, and I'm scared to assume anything again, but…I'd get them now if I were you!
Perfectly Preserved Pears & Cannery Set Framelits—Just found these on the list, too. *sigh* I had barely gotten to use this super cute canning jar stamp set combo after I was won over by it late last Fall. You can still enjoy it if you order it now!
Color Spritzer Tool (Now 25% off!)—It is so easy (and fun) to use this tool to add random flecks of color to projects. Just add any color of marker and pump for a cool, distressed background. Sure you could spatter ink onto card stock by flicking a brush loaded with ink, but that can be so messy. You could also use the Stampin' Spritzer spray bottle, but you won't get a light, random pattern. The Color Spritzer tool gives the user control for both light or heavy applications with no mess. I'm keeping mine, for sure!
Scallop Trim Corner Punch—Even though the Scallop Trim Edge Punch is still around for the straight sides, it will be impossible to create the cool scalloped corners or special designs like this cross without the Scallop Trim Corner Punch.
Priceless Monogram Cards Gift Box Set
Lovely Letters Alphabet—This has been my all-time favorite monogram letter set. I love the flourish on each letter, adding a touch of classic elegance to any project.
Many years ago, I had a One-Sheet Wonder class and we made the 10-Card boxed set of monogram cards (shown above) and it was a huge hit. It was prior to my blogging days, so there isn't an actual post about it, but I've had many requests to do another project like it, so stay tuned! I may have to pull out the template and create an updated version!
Were you as surprised by some of these retiring items as I was? Don't miss out!
