Sunday Showcase—Thinking of You

Hi Stamping Friends!

I've been busy, busy, busy designing class cards, placing orders, getting club kits made, making swaps, and scheduling future blog posts…all in preparation for my trip to Salt Lake City for the 25th Anniversary Stampin' Up! Convention next week.  I'm so excited I can hardly stand it!!!!!  EEEEeeeee!  Two more sleeps!

But, there sure is a lot of stuff still on my To Do List!  You'll probably find that most of the posts scheduled while I'm gone are short and sweet!  Thanks to my Too Cool team and our awesome swaps last week, I'll have lots of ideas (and many times Two Cool ideas!) to share with you all week long!  You won't even miss me!!!  😀

Today's Showcase features several "thinking of you" themed projects from some of my stamping friends!

Rita - eastern elegance impressed copy

Created by Rita Berning, Too Cool Demo Team.

Ooohh, Rita has lots of layers and textures using the Embedded Embossing technique!  She punched out several sizes of circles from the Eastern Elegance Designer Series Paper and layered them on a Whisper White background stamped with the Dictionary (wood) background stamp.

Then, she ran the whole piece through the Big Shot with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder.  Also features: A Round Array (wood) stamps, 1" Circle Punch, 1-1/4" Circle Punch, 1-3/8" Circle Punch, and Coastal Cabana Ruffle Stretch Trim.

Kathe's case copy

Created by Kathe Madsen, Too Cool Demo Team.

Kathe was inspired by the Simply Sketch card I created for our swap, and she emailed a photo of her card to me.  I love how she added the En Francais (wood) background pattern to the circle.  Also features: Simply Sketched Hostess stamp set (wood), Venetian Romance DSP, Big Shot and Paper Doily Sizzlit.

Joni - secret garden polka dots copy

Created by Joni Macy, Too Cool Demo Team downline.

Joni's cheerful card features the Secret Garden (wood) stamp set and Secret Garden Framelits.  She embossed the flower in Black Embossing Powder, then sponged on Real Red ink for a soft, mottled look that I love!  The flower and leaves were die-cut with the framelits.  Also features: Polka Dot Parade DSP, Labels Collection Framelits, Big Shot and Heat Tool

Peggy - secret garden vellum rose copy

Created by Peggy Tassler, Stamp Club member.

I love the combination of the Secret Garden (wood) flowers and the Fabulous Florets (wood) stems and leaves!  Great idea, Peggy!

The flowers were stamped on Vellum card stock with White StazOn, then sponged on the back and die-cut with the Secret Garden Framelits

She also added a Bitty Butterfly stamped with Papillon Potpourri (wood).  Also features: Best of Greetings Collector set, Vintage Faceted Buttons and Big Shot

Peggy - secret garden yellow copy

Created by Peggy Tassler, Stamp Club member.  CASEd from Amy O'Neill at Amy's Paper Crafts.

Peggy used the same Secret Garden (wood) vellum flowers on this card, this time colored on the back with what looks like Raspberry Ripple, Daffodil Delight and Primrose Petals inks. Like Joni's card, she die-cut some leaves with the Secret Garden Framelits for some lovely foliage.

In this close-up, you can see she sprayed it with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz!  Pretty!  Also features: Polka Dot Parade DSP, Perfect Polka Dot Texture Impressions Folder and Big Shot.
