Sunday Showcase—Packed For Everything

What can you do with those stamps?!

Packed for everything 127337L

That seems to be the concensus among my stamping friends when they first see the Packed For Everything Bundle on p39 of the Occasions Mini Catalog

And, I have to admit, I didn't have the very good answers for them.  I wasn't quite sure how to best use these four wood-mounted stamps, each "packed" with images on one 2 x 2-1/2" stamp, that come as a bundle or individually.

The designs certainly beg to be colored, but who wants to color in that much detail?

You could make a cute scene with the tiny images if you used them separately, but who wants to cut them all out?

I knew it would make a cute background pattern…but, I wasn't sounding very convincing, even to myself.

Well…that was before I attended my Leadership Conference and found that, with selective coloring and cutting, this collection of single stamps can be quite versatile!

I think you'll agree after you check out these fantastic cards that were on display…(click pic to enlarge to see details)

Packed For Mom

Leadership - packed mom bday  Leadership - packed mom paper piece

Card #1—Selective coloring and a popped up flower add to the charm of this feminine birthday card.  I love the use of the Decorative Label Punch to frame the top and bottom of the window.

Card #2—The Paper Piecing technique is used to highlight the purse and flower.  I love the Rhinestone Jewel clasp on the purse!  And, look!  It uses the Fancy Framelit technique I posted about yesterday!

Packed For Dad

Leadership - packed dad stripes  Leadership - packed dad houndstooth

Card #1—More selective coloring.  Love the color combination from the Twitterpated DSP.

Card #2—More paper piecing of a few items.  The Houndstooth Impressions Folder makes a nice masculine background.

Leadership - packed for dad owl  Leadership - packed dad moustache

Card #1—This Owl Punch is dressed up with the mustache from the Packed For Dad stamp…maybe it's for grandpa?!  The frame looks like strips from a piece embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder.

Card #2—More mustaches from the Many Mustaches set!  I'm enjoying the Well Worn Designer Series Paper colors for masculine cards!

Packed For Baby

Leadership - packed baby background  Leadership - packed baby blue

Cute selective coloring for a baby girl or baby boy card.  I really like the use of the stamp as a background!

Leadership - packed baby sweet baja  Leadership - packed baby congrats

Card #1—This may be one of my favorites because of the sweet color combination in the Sweet Shop Designer Paper that is used.

Card #2—The stamp coordinates perfectly with the "congratulations" sentiment from Friendly Phrases.

Leadership - packed baby bear spotlight  Leadership - packed baby circles

Card #1—Features the spotlighting techinque and a sentiment from Petite Pairs.

Card #2—There is definitely lots of coloring and cutting on this one, but the images are perfect in combination with the "it's the little things" phrase from the You're A Gem set!

Leadership - packed baby bear diagonal  Leadership - packed baby onesie

Card #1—Awwww!  A cute bear layered inside Heart Framelits and Heart-of-Heart Scallop Embosslit.  And, look at that cool diagonal background!  Another favorite!

Card #2—More paper piecing.  I love the lace look of the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch.

Leadership - packed baby dresser  Leadership - packed bear thanks

Card #1—Talk about creative!  This super-cute dresser is "packed" with baby goodies, including the monkey is from Fox & Friends.

Card #2—I'm loving the bear image singled out!  Here he's highlighted on a Scallop Rectangle Clearlit layer.

Pack For Birthday

Leadership - packed bday party this way  Leadership - packed bday 3 panel

Card #1—I think the piñata image is my favorite to highlight from the birthday stamp!  Love the Party This Way image with it!

Card #2—Another piñata with colored pennants, and a 3-panel In Color Patterns Paper background to match.

Leadership - packed bday quadrants  Leadership - packed bday pinata

Card #1—Four color quadrants stamped, and colored more pennants. Adorning Accents Edgelits scalloped border is a nice touch.

Card #2—Love it!  The adorable piñata hanging solo from Lucky Limeade Baker's Twine and matched with a greeting from Friendly Phrases.

So, see?!  You can choose to highlight specific images from the stamps and really make some delightful cards!

Of course, if you WANT to color all of the images several times over, you could try something like this…

And, if you WANT to do lots of cutting, too, you could create something like this…

Leadership - packed dad dresser

But, it's really not necessary to enjoy the versatility of these stamped images that are packed with fun!  In fact, at only $9.95 a piece, these individual stamps can offer a lot of bang for your buck!

I don't go into much detail on my Sunday showcases, but if you have any questions about how to create any of these cards, please don't hesistate to contact me or leave a comment below this post (click the post title to be directed to my actual blog)!
